And though the station's $124,000 worth of studio equipment hasn't arrived yet and its worth of transmission equipment hasn't even been bought yet, ETV Director Mrs. Thomas C. Carpenter admits that they are fudging a little.

"We started broadcasting to schools this year with the cooperation of Channel 3" said Mrs. it has been most helpful. Schools are getting an idea of what ETV is and what it can be." That start was a small one, an elementary art course taught once a week and broadcast by WEAR-TV on its regular commercial channel. But as Mrs. Carpenter and her staff of eight get ready for next fall, they are also doing considerable work by means of closed circuit television and doing it now.

A small closed circuit ETV setup that started at Ferry Pass Junior High in 1963 has been moved to the new and still largely unfurnished ETV studios at Pensacola Junior College and is beaming programs now at Ferry Pass, Workman Junior High and PJC. "And we are now offering a course from Florida State University for teachers in the new math," said the director. "The teachers go to Workman to view the course on sets there."
