(Penucola Journtl AP Wirephoto) Holmes Couniy Homecoming Day Slated Friday News-Journal Bureau BONIFAY Friday will be Holmes County homecoming day, the county's homecoming club has decreed.

Interest in the annual event, held last year for the first time, is growing, explained Bonifay Mayor Devane Williams, club president. He said the interest increase is indicated by a deluge of inquiries about program plans. Williams said nearly 100 former Holmes Countians returned last year for the initial homecoming day program. It is planned to allow the visitors ample time during the day to visit old friends and familiar sites in the county and then register later for a banquet that will be held at the women's club house, Williams said. Registration will start at 6:30 p.m.

in the social hall of the First Baptist Church and the reunion banquet will begin at 8 p.m. All former residents of the county are invited to attend the affair to renew acquaintances and fellowship, Williams invited. He said many of those attending will be former students in county schools, but that is not a requirement for membership. Other officers include Miss Flora Alford, vice president: Kelly Swindle, secretary; and J. E.

Questioned whether he believed Gurvich or Canceler would be able to supply the grand jury with any significant information, Burnes replied: "Positively not."
