It was unclear when Bulaga suffered the injury. The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported that Bulaga was hurt during a scrimmage Saturday night, though he was seen walking after the practice. The Packers moved Bulaga from right tackle to left this offseason in order to better protect quarterback Aaron Rodgers, who was sacked 55 times last season.

The Packers also signed quarterback Vince Young to a one-year deal, according to the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The Eagles released their first depth chart Monday, but both Michael Vick and Nick Foles were listed as first-string quarterback. Buccaneers general manager Mark Dominik told Sports Illustrated he is "almost certain" corner-back Darrelle Re vis will play in the season opener, but Revis, who is recovering from a torn ACL, said he wasn't sure when he would be ready. NFL: 49ers All-Pro linebacker Patrick Willis recently had surgery to repair his fractured right hand, ESPN reported. Willis is expected to return in about three weeks.

The Dolphins and safety Reshad Jones reached agreement on a four-year contract extension worth $30 million, NFL.com reported Ravens tight end Ed Dickson revealed a slight tear in his hamstring, and he will miss a week or two of practice. The Saints agreed to a one-year deal with receiver Steve Breaston. The Raiders signed defensive lineman Ryan Baker. David Wilson and Andre Brown were listed as first-string running backs for the Giants on the team's depth chart. Jaguars receiver Cecil Shorts left practice because of a strained left calf muscle.

The team also waived receiver Taylor Price. The Colts waived linebacker Monte Simmons. The Chargers signed free-agent linebacker Jerrell Harris. Chiefs receiver Junior Hemingway and offensive tackle Dustin Waldron are out of training because of injuries, the Kansas City Star reported. Hemingway has a sprained thumb while Waldron has a dislocated knee cap.

COLLEGE FOOTBALL: Texas coach Kevin Sumlin said Johnny Manziel will remain the Aggies' quarterback while the university looks into an ESPN report that Manziel received five-figure compensation for signing autographs. Meanwhile, an anonymous autograph broker on eBay claims that Johnny Manziel's friend and personal assistant, Nate Fitch, told him that Manziel would no longer sign autographs for him without compensation, according to ESPN. linebacker Joel Hasley, who was second on the team in tackles last season, left the team, the school announced. Alabama scored an oral commitment from Ricky Town, the No. 2-ranked pocket passer in the Class of 2015 by ESPN.

LSU running back Jeremy Hill had his probation extended to two years and will not go back to jail. The New Orleans Times-Picayune reported that a judge ordered Hill to perform 40 hours of community service and added restrictions on his probation stemming from battery charges in an April incident in which Hill punched a man outside a bar. The trio of former Penn State administrators accused of covering up Jerry Sandusky's child sex abuse pleaded not guilty to criminal charges in court papers filed Monday. The university's former president Graham Spanier, former athletic director Tim Curley and former senior vice president Gary Schultz waived their right to appear at a formal arraignment in September on charges including endangering the welfare of children, obstruction of justice and criminal conspiracy. NBA: Lakers star Kobe Bryant said he is ahead of schedule in recovering from a ruptured Achilles tendon.

The timetable for recovery from that injury is typically six to nine months. Bryant, who was injured in April against the Warriors, suggested he could be ready in time for training camp in September. Trail Blazers guard Terrel Harris was suspended for the first five games of the season for violating the terms of the league's anti-drug program. AUTO RACING: NASCAR sprint car driver Kramer Williamson died after sustaining injuries during a crash at Lincoln Speedway in Ab-botstown, USA Today Sports reported. He was 63.

feel for the rotation he is going to use when the season begins Nov. 8 against Connecticut at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, NY. "I think it's too soon to decide a starting lineup, but with that said, we only have nine on scholarship, and I think I have a good idea what my rotation is going to be. That could change on foul trouble and healthy bodies. There are seven guys right away that I feel very confident with, and both freshmen Roddy Peters and Damonte Dodd have been pleasant surprises.

We won't play down here like we're playing North Carolina State." The only change to Turgeon's plans came when it was decided that sophomore center Shaquille Cleare, who has been battling injuries to his back and his hamstring this summer, won't play on the tour in his native country. That will give an opportunity to Dodd, who played last season at Massanutten Military Academy in Virginia, to get some time inside alongside sophomore Charles Mitchell. One of the obvious goals for the trip is for sophomore Seth Allen to establish himself as the team's starting point guard, with Peters as his backup. The lack of a steady point guard last season was a constant source of turmoil for the Terps and was likely the difference between going to the NCAA tournament and the National Invitation Tournament. Maryland finished 25-13 and lost in the NIT semifinals.

"I feel really good about it," Turgeon said of a point guard situation. "They both really want to be point guards. Seth's more of a scoring point. Roddy scored in high school, and I'm sure he'll score here, but not like Seth scores. Seth's really improved, and Roddy's better than I thought." don.markusbaltsun.com Turgeon says extra practice time in advance of journey has helped team mature By Don Markus The Baltimore Sun Will the Maryland basketball team show improvement from last season during its coming trip to the Bahamas? That's what third-year coach Mark Turgeon is hoping for during a three-game, four-day exhibition tour against local competition that begins tonight in Nassau.

In an interview last week, Turgeon said the extra summer practice time allowed under NCAA rules for teams going on trips out of the country has turned the Terps into a more mature group. "To me, it's more about the practices and the preparation, which the guys have done a great job with," Turgeon said. "You're allowed 10 days of practice. We're only going to get nine days in, which is plenty. We don't have any seniors except for John Auslander, but we feel like we're a veteran team.

It's the first time I've felt that way since I've been here. "Their ability to learn and work hard and compete is at a different level than it's been since I've been here. It's one of those things now where I've had to dial back. I might have IS minutes on the clock for something, and I might only need 10 because the guys are working so hard. Our leadership is better.

Across the board, whether it's walk-ons or scholarship players, they've all gotten better." While Turgeon and his staff have planned this trip like a big family vacation that will include plenty of beach time the team is staying at the posh Atlantic Resort, and coaches are taking their families it will also give Turgeon abetter NOTEBOOK Bayhawks' Bernhardt earns MLL honor tal basis in 2014. All-Stars came into their third game Monday morning at the Little League World Series Mid-Atlantic Region tournament with a 2-0 record and in the apparent driver's seat. Meanwhile, Capitol City from Washington came in 0-2, needing to win to avoid elimination from pool play. And though a late comeback had Berlin within one run of victory, the team suffered its first loss of the tournament, 11-10. The teams combined for 20 hits in the game, including seven extra-base hits.

However, by the end of the third inning, D.C. led, 10-3, and it was not enough for Maryland to overcome.
