A missionary from Calcutta, India, Mrs. Mark Buntain will be the speaker.

Potluck luncheon will be served. Royal Ranger snow outing to Hurricane Ridge will be March 11. Jim Moore and David Anders are the leaders taking the boys on this trip. TRINITY METHODIST Trinity Methodist Church is conducting a congregational survey from 2 to 5 p.m., March 12. All callers should meet at the Church for a sack lunch immediately following the service.

The report meeting and supper will begin at 6 p.m. ST. JOSEPH'S St. Joseph's Mission Church Altar Society mot March 7. There were 12 members present.

Mrs. Wilmer Haffner and Mrs. O.J. Hansey were hostesses. Father Dennis played a recording and led a discussion of second century Mass.

He also played the tape of the dedication service which was held last summer. The St. Francis Guild met March 1, at 8 p.m. at the parish hall. Mrs.

Walter Bain was hostess. SEQUIM BIBLE CHURCH Lloyd Killgore, deputation secretary with the Overseas Crusade, Al Jessup of the Gospel Missionary Union from Morocco, and Miss Doris Motley from Nigeria ware speakers at the Sequim Bible Church last week. Twenty-five men attended the Men's Breakfast, March4. Lloyd Killgore and Robert Wagler were the speakers. Wagler is with the West Indies Mission of The youth banquet, on March 4, was held at the American Legion Hall in Sequim.

Ninety- five attended from Forks Bible Church, Joyce Bible Church, Port Angeles Independent Church, and Falrview Community Church, with the Sequim Bible Church being the host. The pastors and their wives attended from the various churches. Master of ceremonies was Duane Dahl and the invocation was given by the Rev. Carey Smith of Fairvlew. The dinner was a planned potluck.

The tables were decorated with pussy- willows. The missionary speakers each gave a short missionary experience. Musical numbers were by youths from Fairview, Forks, and Sequim, Robert Wagler spoke at the morning service, March 5, and showed slides In the evening. Broadcaster dies TORONTO (AP) Walter F. Bowles, 78, dean of Canada's radio broadcasters, died Tues.

day. Bowles was an early morning CBC broadcaster for more than 30 years. The Junior High Camp Fire Girls group, under Mrs. Marie Thomas and Mrs. Ken Sadllek, held a rummage sale at Sekiu Community Hall 25.

They had a large amount of clothing, and a great variety of other articles. Refreshments of coffee, punch, hot dogs, cup cakes and cookies were sold, and there were games for the children. The girls and their leaders wish to thank the people of the community for their response, both in contributions and help with the sale, as well as their fine attendance. This combined to make the event a success. They also wish to thank the Se- klu Community Club for the use of the building.

The Camp Fire Girls of this group are Dawn Doran, Shirley and April Hull, Sandy Early, Jeri Kay Gregory, Patti Wilson, Mary Ellen Stock, and Linda Sadllek. Recent guests of Mr. and Mrs. Howard Baker and family of Island View were David Spauld- Ing and his son David Spauld- Ing Jr. (Chuck) of Kent, and granddaughter, Mrs.

Kenneth Cook, recently discharged from the W.A.F. Mrs. Cook and her husband returned not long ago from France, where they spent two years In service. After visiting relatives in Washington State she leaves for Myrtle Beach, S.C., to join her husband in the U.S. Air Force.

During their three-day stay with the Bakers, "Chuck" Spauldlng did some steelhead fishing. His father has spent his summers salmon fishing in this area for many years. The week end of March 3-5 saw more salmon fishing activity in Sekiu than at any time this year. Fishing was very good, and had also been good on the last previous week end and continued during the wsek. Many limits have been taken by both visitors and local flshermon.

Adolph Olson of Sekiu landed a 28-Ib. King last wsek which was the biggest fish of the year so far, bub on March 6 another 28.pounder was brought in by a Seattle man, Ted C. Radabaugh. Leo Chaplin of Seattle hooked an 18-Ib. salmon March 6.

He was here with his fishing partner, Leo Peck, also of Seattle, and both caught their limits, and are now back for another fishing trip. Mrs. Walter Wlckman and Mrs. James Macey entertained the Presbyterian Women's As, sociation at the Wickman home March .1. Nineteen members and two guests, Mrs.

Mrs. Howard Baker of Island View, gave a birthday party Feb. 24 for her son Paul, who was nine years old. His grandmother, Mrs. Nellie Baker of Port Angeles, came to help him celebrate and baked the birthday cake.

Attending the party besides his sister Jaye, ware the Le Bouef children, Cindy, Pam, sandy and Cheryl, and their parents Mr. and Mrs. Kenneth Le Bouef, and Mrs. W. Lloyd Murray.

The Twin Cities Homemakers had their Italian dinner Feb. 21 at the home of Mrs. James C. Helmtck. It had been scheduled two weeks earlier but had to be postponed.

Each member brought a fish for the dinner, and gave the recipe. All members of the group were present and Mrs. Ernest Borde of Clallam Bay was a guest. After the dinner Mrs. E.J.

Cunningham conducted a class on making ribbon roses. This was her second lesson to the group. OLYMPIA CAP 1 A Comoro mlse was reached In the last minutes of the legislative ses. sion Thursday night on the so. called "clean air" bill, which was passed by both houses and sent to the governor.

Senate Bill 46 would set up air pollution standards for the state, with local enforcement. An air pollution control district would be established in mlsh, King and Pierce counties. The cause of controversy was a House amendment to give a grace period to auto wreckers who burn non.metallic material in car bodies. The wreckers were given until 1970 to comply with the law.
