Pag I A Black Tie Affair FRANK SINATRA once again demonstrated his flair for showmanship by inviting an audience to attend the taping of his television special, "A Man And His Music Ella Jobim" In black ties which will air Monday (Ch. 8, 8 p.m.; Ch. 6, 9 p.m.).

Somewhat of a first on the Hollywood scene where evening wear is almost always limited to motion picture premieres, theatrical presentations and similar dressy events, the gesture was looked upon by many as an indication that television has come of age. For those who remember the hit songs of a few years past as well as the top tunes of today, the evening proved to be an occasion in keeping with formal invitation. Joined on stage by singing guest Ella Fitzgerald, Sinatra and his guest guitarist-composer Antonio Carlos Jobim teamed up for an informal concert segment to officially, top off his hour-long musical special. Musical offerings spotlighted during this portion of the program included a pair of unforgettable Benny Goodman tunes, "Stompin' at the Savoy" and "Don't Be That Way," plus George and Ira Gershwin's "They Can't Take That Away From Me," which was penned for the motion picture, "Shall We Cole Porter's "At Long Last Rodgers and Hart classic, "The Lady Is a Tramp," from "Babes in a Matt Dennis-Earl Brent song "Angel Eyes" from the film of the same name and Sinatra's own theme song, "Put Your Dreams Away," which was penned by Ruth Lowe, Paul Mann and Stephan Weiss.
