engagement to Bert Duane Johnson recently was i announced The bride elect is the daughter of Mr and Mrs Nichols Milbank twho reside in Grants Pass Ore They formerly lived in Los Angeles Her fiance is the son of Mr and Mrs Seth Herbert Johnson formerly of Modesto who are making their home in Atherton Miss Milbank attended Marlborough School for Girls and was graduated from Dana Hall Wellesley Mass A sophomore et Stanford University she lives in Manzanita Lodge on the Stanford campus Johnson attended Modesto schools After a year at Modesto Junior College he enlisted in the navy Following his discharge he entered Stanford University from which he was graduated in June with an AB in medicine While on the campus he was a member of Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity In his second year at Stanford
