Our Alliance meets on the first and third Saturdays of each month. Our president, Mr. M. Woods, is serving his third year mistakes never lived In regard to the case of Henry Martin, alluded to by Accountant, I have to say this: That on 7th day of August, 1893, a warrant was sued out against said Henry Martin and many others for gambling, and that soon thereafter another warrentwas sued out agsinst the same Henry Martin for gambling with a minor, that said charge being for the same offense and at the same time. That the cases were continued from time to time, until the first Monday in October.

The cases under the first warrant were dismissed, the solid tor asking for a nol pross, which was granted by me, under the im-presion that it included all the cases against said Martin. The commissioners court convened after said nol pros and my account of said cases was allowed. When, in fact, I find the case against said Martin for gambling had not been tried er dismissed, but stands for trial. The mistake was diV coeredattho February term of the eounty court, when same was called for trial and forfeiture taken against Martin and his bondsmen This was an oversight of my own at the time, which I am willing and ready to correct. On account of this mistake I condescend to reply to Accountant.

T. Ilodgo was shot last night by J. C. Mann, a Baltimore drummer, at the City Hotel, at 12 oclock. Mann was an old friend of Hodge, and was stopping over for a few days with him.

It seems that they had fallen out about some friend they had met in the Hotel, and after a few words firing began. Nine shots were exchanged, only two shots taking effect, and they were from Manns pistol, the most severe wound being from a N. B. Just please. I would glad to know where he got his nform.ition concerning the 2,300 in 1883. It seems that three years later they fell off over 200 Instead of in-reusing, as lie states.
