The Dixie Angels (9-10 year olds), Ponytails (11-12), Belles (13-15) and Debs (16-18) will each begin play at 4:30 p.m. today. The championship game for each age group is scheduled for 6 p.m. Monday. Should an "if game" be needed, it will be played at 8 p.m.

Montgomery American is the host team in the Angels and Ponytails divisions. Montgomery Gray is the host team for the Belles and Debs. Each division except for the Belles features two Montgomery teams. American and AUM Green have teams in the two youngest divisions. Montgomery Gray and East Montgomery will compete in the Debs.

Montgomery Gray is the only city team in the Belles. Coaches or a designated statistician are encouraged to call in results. Scores and key stats can be called in at 240-0190. Deadline for information is 10:30 p.m. Montgomery American handed Bellingrath an 8-6 loss to claim a spot in the 14-year-old Dixie Majors state tournament.

East Montgomery Blue defeated East Montgomery White 7-6 in the 9-10-year-old Dixie Minors District 5 championship.
