Philatheas Hold Annual Dinner THE Philathea Class of the Conklin Avenue Baptist church held its annual dinner in the church parlors Thursday with nearly 70 persons attending. Chrysanthemums in pumpkin holders decorated the tables lighted by green tapers. The dinner was served by the Junior Philathea class. The president of the Philathea class, Mrs.

Morris Ainslie, tended greetings to the members, and announced Mrs. William Sale Terrell, who spoke on "CooperaMrs. Malcolm Campbell led in assembly singing. Mrs. J.

church Thursday night it was announced that more than $100 and three barrels of clothing were sent to the Cumberland Mountain Mission at Fort Blackmore, Va, More than 135 women attended the meeting. Dinner Meeting Postponed The dinner meeting Hope Chapter of the Y.

W. C. A. planned for Monday has been postponed to Monday, Nov. 19, because of the Armistice Day celebration.

Th Rev. Thomas J. McHugh, pastor of rick's church in Scranton, cousin of the bride, acted as celebrant at. the solemn high nuntial mass and performed the ceremony, The Rev. Frank McHugh, pastor of St.

Mary's church in Wilkesbarre, acted as deacon. The Rev. J. 1 Casey of the Holy Rosary church acted as subdeacon, and the Rev. Stephen O' Boyle was master of ceremonies.

Miss Marita Dean, the bride, sang, Ailstesta.of Louise Devers, the church organist, played the wedding music. Miss Angela Dean, a sister of the bride, was maid of honor. John Curley of Middletown was best man for his, brother. Both Mr. and Mrs.

Curley are members of the faculty in the Woodrow Wilson Junior High school, this city. The bride was gowned in white transparent velvet with turban to match. A turn back brim of the velvet was trimmed with baby ostrich tips. She carried white velvet muff adorned with a spray of gardenias. maid of honor wore a mulberry colored gown with silver jacket and carried a muff to match her gown adorned with an orchid.

A wedding breakfast at the home of the bride's mother followed. White chrysanthemums and a wedding cake decorated the bride's table.
