First Report Cards EAST first report cards of the semester were distributed among the pupils of the schools of District 101 at the close of school today. Oyster Supper EAST and Mrs. F. L. Melvin entertained with an oyster supper Sunday evening at their home on Bowman avenue.

Stone. Motorcycle Cop Recovers EAST Patrolman Robert Green, who was injured Oct- 16 while performing his usual duties, was able to return to bis work Friday night. Green was thrown from his motorcycle while pursuing a speeding car, receiving a out on the head which confined him to the hospital for a night and day. His injuries were found to be less serious than was believed at the time of the accident. Bunco Club Meets EAST and Mrs.

Party EAST Daughters of America hold' their annual Halloween masquerade party Tuesday evening, at their, lodge hall on Church street. Prlfei will be awarded for costumes. The Godfrey Home Bureau Unit met nt the home of Miss Elizabeth Haag, Friday evening. Miss Mary Strr'-'-ger, county advisor, presented the lesson. The subject was "Good Food Habits." Floyd Davis arrived at their home In Miami, Thursday, after spending several weeks In their home here. Miss Virginia Hagerman returned Wednesday after spending a week's vacation In the East. Mr. and Mrs. Eric Brlnkman left this morning for West Frankfort, where they will spend a few days.

They were accompanied by Mr. and Mrs. V. B. Stirltz as far as Johnson City, where their relatives, Mr.

and Mrs. A. Stirltz, are ill. Mr. nnd Mrs.

Rohland Wilhelm are building a home, having the foundation finished. It will be a seven-room house, Cape Cod type, on the west side of Route 111, with private road leading past the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. E. Wilkinson.

Miss Ann Koeller and sister, Miss Frances, of Alton, visited Mrs. George Davis and Miss Mary Ru- paner, Friday evening. Miss Alice Nicol gave a shower at the Erler home Thursday afternoon, for the recent bride, Mrs. Edwin Erler. Varied gifts were brought and the afternoon was spent playing bunco.

Prizes were awarded to Mrs. Raymond Bever- dale, Mrs. Frank Hoffman, Mrs. George Williams and Mrs. Finley Williams.

Miss Nlcol served refreshments. Mrs. Erler was Miss Evelyn Bryant and was married last Saturday.
