Armstead Cope of Fieldon and is a great grandson of Mr. and Mrs. James Tucker of Jerseyville. Prior to her marriage Mrs. Phillips was Miss Doris Cope.

Transferred to Barnes JERSEYVILLE John Narup of Jerseyville, who has been a patient in the Jersey Community Hospital, has been transferred to Barnes Hospital in St. Louis for further treatment. Macoiipin Barn Destroyed by Fire CARLINVILLE A large barn and its contents on the James Denby farm west of Carlinville was destroyed by fire Sunday afternoon. The loss was estimated at $10,000.

The Carlinville Fire Department was called and were able to save a nearby corn crib. Defective wiring is believed to have been the cause of the fire. The contents lost in the fire included 500 bushels of beans, six sows and little pigs, nitrogen and corn, valued at $3,000. The barn was valued at $7,000.
