MPC Names Local Manager At Shubuta John Harrison, Utilityman in Forest, has been named Mississippi Power Company's local manager: in Shubuta. A 1973 graduate of Meridian High School, Harrison joined Mississippi Power Company in 1978 as a helper in Forest and has worked as a winch truck operator and a customer serviceman. Harrison served in the United States Marine Corps from 1973-1978 as a multi -channel radio chief. He is married to the former Debra L. Brantley of Streamwood, a and they have two sons, Jason Daniel and Zachary James.

"As Shubuta's local manager, Harrison will be responsible for providing our customers in the area with reliable electric service," said Bob Daniels, Meridian District manager. "We are confident he will ensure that Shubuta customers continue to receive the best possible electric service." Harrison is replacing Shubuta's local manager since 1949, Loyce G. Hankins, who is retiring after 42 years of service with Mississippi Power Company. Hankins and his wife, Annie Sue, live in Shubuta.
