At Reno Air Base In Marine Aviation Private Howard W. Gross, son of Mr. and Mrs. William H. Gross of 2425 Clawson street, who is stationed at the United States Marine aviation base a Jacksonville, F1 a.

Private Gross entered service July 9, 1942, and received- his basic instruction at San Diego, before go- Ing to Jacksonville to train as an aviation mechanic. William Schnurr of Godfrey township, vvno holds ranks of chief torpedoman, master diver, and ordnance officer, is seeing navy service in his second World War. For the present he is serving as torpedoman instructor at the Great Lakes training station.
