help! meetings IS A University of Hawaii employe was arrested early yesterday after he allegedly threw a paperweight through a large window at the Selective Service offices downtown. The employe, a television technician identified as Townsend F. "Fred" Post, 22, of 1914 University was in the Selective Service office at 1149 Bethel St. at about 10 a.m. yesterday when the incident occurred.

POLICE SAID that a clerk in the office was helping Post with some draft registration paperwork when he picked up a paperweight and hurled it through a wire-mesh-glass window at the back of the Draft Board's Room 307. The missile put a hole about the size of an apple in the window. At the request of a Selective Service clerk, Post sat down but then proceeded to throw another paperweight at the window. His second shot just bounced off. Police were summoned to the scene, and in their presence a Selective Service clerk, who wished to remain anonymous, made a citizen's arrest of Post.

POST WAS charged with malicious injury for the estimated $50 damage to a 4 by 6 foot window, and was released on $250 bail. He will be arraigned at 9 a.m. today in Honolulu District Court. At the same time as the paperweight-throwing incident, there were several antiwar demonstrators in the Draft Board offices on the third floor of the Bethel-Pau- ahi Building, but there was no indication that Post was part of that group. The demonstrators, members of the People's Coalition for Peace and Justice, were offering draft-counseling services and reading out loud a list of Vietnam war dead.

"WHAT WE'RE interested in is the processing of as few men as possible into this war machine," Mrs. Bette Johnson, one of the group, said. Mrs. Kim Oi Ho, a supervisor at the Selective Service office, said that about noon the Selective Service workers moved into adjacent offices because the demonstrators' noise was interfering with their work. Three uniformed and two plainclothes policemen were on duty.

Early in the day a sign reading "Selective Slavery System" was taped to the front of the Selective Service office. It was later torn off. ALSO OUTSIDE were a "Vietnamization Turns Children Into Soldiers" and a "Veterans for Peace" signs. In another protest yesterday, four antiwar demonstrators peacefully picketed and handed out leaflets at the Army Recruiting Office at 821 Mililani St. "They all left at 1400 (2 p.m.)," Maj.

Anselmo Domingo, commander of the recruiting office, said yesterday. "They just stayed outside, paraded with their signs and passed out brochures to passers-by," Domingo said. ALCOHOL HELP with problem drinking. Call 537-9873 anytime. AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY VOLUNTEERS for May door-to-door drive.

ments, potential erosion problems and high costs," he said. Kipapa Bridge will be 105 feet wide wide enough for three full lanes of traffic in each direction, plus a 10-foot shoulder and a 20-foot median strip. The bridge will be about 1,600 feet long and about 175 feet above the floor of the gulch. Twin bridges will span Waikakalaua. Each will be about 800 feet long and 115 feet above the floor of the gulch.

Each bridge will carry two lanes of traffic and have 12-foot shoulders on the right side and six foot shoulders on the left. Bridges over the two gulches will help drivers maintain a safe 65-mile-an-hour speed on the H-2 Freeway, which should link Waiawa with Wahiawa by 1975, E. Alvey Wright, deputy State director of Transportation, said yesterday. He described the bridges at a Rotary Club of Wahiawa luncheon at Kemoo Farm. At first, the department considered spanning Kipapa and Waikakalaua gulches with high embankments.
