He was 78. world is a lot less marvelous today.

Rest In Peace, the museum announced on its Facebook page. No cause of death was given, but Yagoda suffered a heart attack in 2004. Tucked in the back of a strip mall on Orchard Lake Road just south of 14 Mile Road, the museum is a cacophony of gizmos, games and gadgets that bills itself plays more than 3,000 songs to go along with the games. Among the favorites were a Crankenstein monster who will jump out at you if you feed it two quarters and crank a lever. Overhead, several dozen model airplanes afew painted red, white and blue zipped overhead on a motorized track.

There are brightly colored rides and several picture booths many that are rented out for weddings, bat and bar mitzvahs, proms and parties. Funeral arrangements are pending. He loves this Kids of all ages frequent the museum, pumping quarters into the games and machines to be barraged with flashing lights, screeching sirens and the smell of fresh popcorn.

The place is so unique rapper Eminem rented it to host his 30th birthday bash. Magician David Copperfield, a friend of Yagoda, was known to stop by when he was in town. The museum includes an instrument amplifier that as mind blowing fully interactive museum open to the public 365 days a year with free Its Facebook page notes it contains 1,000 electric outlets, 40-foot ceilings and 5,500 square feet of floor space containing an array of buzzing and clattering new and vintage mechanical devices and Part P.T. Barnum and part Fred Sanford, Yagoda traveled the world collecting the games for the museum he operated for more than 25 years. Yagoda said he has spent anywhere from $25 to $60,000 apiece for his prized possessions.
