Make this seam very narrow, especially toward the corner of the neck edge. When you turn the applied piece down and presJ it you will find that the bias edge adjusts itself perfectly to the corner. Now, turn the hem in the usual -way, and either slip stitch it as shown here or sew it on the machine. To make a hemmed opening in the hem at the bottom of a sleeve, clip the sleeve seam at the top of the opening; then hem the under lap edge of the opening with a very narrow hem as shown in the diagram at the lower right. Women simply are not Interested in a twenty-inch waistline. The main thing: they desire is a smooth, well rounded figure which shows plenty of curves but no lumps. There are girdles which arc perfect for the figure of the medium- sized girl. They hold your hips firmly and give a long, slender line to the thighs. But the mature figure or the one known as a perfect 36 needs 1 something more than a little die.

Corselets are your forte if you have such a figure. They a girdle, brassiere and elastic; waistline support all in one piece. Made entirely of: elastic, they I eliminate uncomfortable strips steel or bone. i Have your corselet fitted by i either the buyer of the corset de-i partment or some one who ia an 1 authority on the subject. Unless the garment really fits your particular type of figure there isn't any use in wearing it.

If you have large hips the cor selct should be reinforced there.f* And the same applies if your line has a tendency to bulge. Tha brassiere should be one of the uplift varieties and it's best to have elastic shoulder straps. Next--Rhythmic Exercises. PERMANENTS $3.50 AND $5.00 Waves Wet Dry A. C.
