When blond, curly haired Bob Nestell lost the big fight to Bob Pastor his movie chances did not go aglimmering as many expected.

Jack Warner, who gave him his first chance in Kid Galahad, said today he expected to use Nestell in a picture again soon. "He was very good in his first acting role," said Jack, "and we were sorry the length of our story made it necessary to cut out some of his scenes. The boy, of course, needs experience, both in the fight game and on the screen. I believe nis losing fight with Pastor may be a good thing, for he came along perhaps too rapidly as a fighter. He has tearned a lesson and will be more valuable both as a fighter and an actor.

Constance Collier could not be happier. Two cables from the king and queen of England--and the best movie job she has had si see she -to Hollywood, She has been borrowed from the Twentieth Century-Fox to portray the older actress in Stage Door and it is the aort of characterization she can play to perfection. Andrea Leeds, who has been begging Gregory Lacava for a chance in Stage Door, donned makeup and made a test for a small role with the result that she. too, has been added to this cast which seems to grow in importance and interest every day. We hear Grace Moore read in this column that Melvyn Douglas was feeling forlorn because he could not accompany his wife, Helen Gahagan, to Europe for the annual Salzburg Festival on account of having to start The Sound Of Your Voice with Grace right away.

That gave her the idea that she would Hge to be present at this famous musical festival herself so she called Melvyn and suggested they trp postponing the starting date of the picture for three weeks. That was jreat with Melvyn, whom TVO hear has already booked passage to sail on Grace's say-so, Now all they need do is convince Harry Cohn that a vacation is in order.
