HONOLULU lnT-S-Tl I I 'w-' I i wci. -t, i ij. -J-. IZZr, 5S7'-" ADDRESS Mother Will Attend Son's Ordination MAKAWAO, Maui s. Glen (Gussie) Smith of Ma-kawao has gone to Tokyo for the ordination Monday of her son, the Rev.

Glen Everett Smith, as a Catholic priest. Smith, a member of the Society of Jesus, will be ordained by His Emminence Peter Cardinal Doi, Archbishop of Tokyo. He will say his first mass at the Hiroshima Gakuin, where he taught before completing his theological studies at St. Mary's College in Tokyo and where he will be assigned to missionary work. Twenty-two Island members of the Baha'i Faith are going to London to attend an April 28 Baha'i World Congress celebrating the 10th anniversary of the founding of the faith.

A going-away dinner was held for them Thursday at the Mid-Pacific Baha'i Center. A special guest was A. Q. Faizi of Haifa. TWO OF THE people going away won't be coming back.

They are Dr. and Mrs. Sidney Dean. The doctor has resigned as clinical psychologist for the State Department of Health, and he and Mrs. Dean will go pioneering after the congress.

In the Baha'i Faith, "pioneering'' means pulling up roots and going to live anywhere in the world to which you are assigned. It is volunteer service. PIONEERS support themselves, getting whatever kind of jobs they can in their new homes (A Mainland television producer, Bob Quigley, chucked 11 network shows to go pioneering, for instance, and wound up as a disc jockey in Africa). Pioneers don't go evangelizing. But they offer to explain their (faith) to anyone who wants to know about it.

The Deans' new "hometown" hasn't yet been assigned to them. 4HaUM4fVfeCSia ALL ARE WELCOME American legion Auxiliary Bldg. 612 McCully Street. Waikiki Services at 12 Noon for the month of March "THE LAW OF MIND In) ACTION" The Rev. Lester Spencer, Minister SCIENCE OF MIND CLASSES Mondays at 7 P.M.

Language Service ALL welcome To FRIENDLY CHURCH" r-r Liaaw A visiting Baptist minister from Detroit has lost a Bible he had used for more than 20 years.

It is bound in black leather and plentifully marked with his personal notations. The minister, the Rev. Robert G. Harris, left it on a Kapiolani Park bench the afternoon of March 3, where he had gone to listen to a Royal Hawaiian Band concert. WHEN HE WENT back to inquire about it, "a man at the bandstand said it had been turned in, and that he had put it on a railing so it wouldn't get locked up." But the Bible had disappeared again.

HARRIS SAID THIS week that he had been hopeful the Bible had been mailed to his Detroit address, which was in it. But he has received no word, nor has the Bible been forwarded to him. He is staying at the Kahili Hotel 2410 Koa and will be here until March 29. His phone number is 933-575. CHURCH Beretania at Victoria Sts.
