nr THE FRESNO BEE Sunday June 27 1969 Carolyn Evans Changes Name To Mrs Hendsch Rustigian-Babigian Vows Are Recited Alameda County and Barbara Friesen of Reedley cousin of the bride Following a garden reception at the Evans home the justweds departed on a honeymoon trip to the coast They will establish a home in Douglas Armstrong sister of the bridegroom Mrs Schyler Rehart and Louise Gilmore the bridesmaids The frocks were designed with short sleeves bateau necklines and gathered waistlines trimmed with cording Yellow and white daisies were used with ivy to form the at tendants' bouquet Armstrong headed the male contingent The ushers were Charles Hendsch and Steven Hendsch brothers of the bridegroom Robert Evans her brother and James Harris Candles were lighted by Mrs David Hawbecker of Oakland The First Presbyterian Church was the setting for the ceremony last evening in which Carolyn Ann Evans became Mrs David Alan Hendsch A daughter of Mr and Mrs Edward Evans the bride is a graduate of the Fresno State College and Tranquillity High School Her affiliations include the California and the American Home Economics Associations Hendsch son of Mrs Charles Hendsch and the late Mr Hendsch was graduated from FSC and Fresno High School He belongs to the bay section of the California Teachers Association and is listed in the 1957 edition of Who's Who Among Students in American Universities And Colleges Mrs Hendsch teaches home economics in Mt Diablo High School in Concord Contra Costa County Her husband is on the faculty of the Castro Valley Alameda County High School The bride's gown of corded Alencon lace featured a fitted bodice with short sleeves and a scalloped neckline The sheath skirt was partially covered by an overskirt of white silk alpaca which formed the chapel train A rose petal headpiece secured the shoulder length illusion veil Miss Evans carried a cascade arrangement of phalaenopsis and stephanotis Mint colored gowns and matching wide brimmed garden hats were worn by Mrs Ralph Wood her sister's matron of honor and Laurie Evans another sister Mrs DOWNTOWN MANCHESTER Moser Alexander Babigian was his brother's best man Ushers were Robert Rustigian another brother Gary Amerigian a cousin Nelson Behrend of San Luis Obispo and Leo Cardona Derryl Cavin of Santa Rosa Sonoma County a cousin of the bride and Peter Arakelian a cousin of the bridegroom carried the rings Toni Williams of Las Vegas Nev cousin of the bride and Dennis Rustigian brother of the bride lighted the candles The newlyweds are June graduates of the Fresno State College Her major was elementary education and his was business administration Their parents are Mr and Mrs Carl Rustigian and Mrs Anne Babigian The new Mrs Babigian was vice president of her senior class at Bullard High School She was Theta Chi Fraternity Dream Girl in FSC Babigian a former student body vice president in Edison High School was president of Gold Key an honor society and a representative to Boys State He was named outstanding citizen by the Fresno Junior Chamber of Commerce Five attendants clad in apple green linen gowns preceded Kathaleen Rustigian to the altar of the First Baptist Church for her exchange of vows last evening with Richard Vincent Babigian Miss Rustigian's dress was a floor length model of organza embroidered with pearls The bodice featured a Sabrina neckline and three quarter sleeves A detachable train was attached at the waist with a self bow A seed pearl tiara secured the veil of three tiers of illusion The bride carried a white Bible a gift of the officiating minister the Rev Bernie Osterhouse and an arrangement of stephanotis white roses and an orchid The floor length sheaths of the attendants were designed with scoop necklines which dipped to a low in the back The headdresses were net picture hats Patti Shaul of Sacramento cousin of the bride maid of honor carried three pink roses The bridesmaids each of whom carried a single pink rose were Judie Goerges Margaret Byde and Linda Redwine Kappa Alpha Theta Sorority sisters of the bride and Mrs Rod Carol Ann Stigall Carol Stigall Is Engaged Mr and Mrs Paul Stigall have announced the betrothal of their daughter Carol Ann to Stephen Cardenas The engaged pair will exchange vows July 16th in the Sacred Heart Church Mr and Mrs Magdaleno Car-were graduated from McLane and San Joaquin Memorial High Schools respectively Mr and Mrs Magdleno Car-dinas are the parents of the prospective bridegroom VAN ITY FAIR Savings 'i' if Bride Wears Sentimental Ring StL OTHER FAMOUS BRANDS FOUNDATIONS The pearl ring her paternal grandmother had worn for her wedding completed the costume donned by Jean Howard Cook for her marriage to Richard Lee Dahlgren The vows were recited June 19th in the First Methodist Church Features of the bride's gown were the Alencon lace bodice Empire waistline and skirt of organza which terminated in a chapel train A pill box hat of the lace embroidered with pearls and with a pearl pendant over the forehead secured the veil Miss Cook carried a cascade arangement of phal-aenopsis and angel orchids The Empire frocks of the attendants were fashioned with scoop neck white bodices lilac skirts and olive green belts with back bows Bows of the skirt fabric were the head-pieces The bouquets were cascades of white daisies Mrs Karen McNalley of Clovis sister of the bride was the matron of honor Bridesmaids were Mrs Andrew Powers of Monterey Park Mrs Peter Bates of Claremont Los Angeles County and Mrs Thomas Stillman sister of the bridegroom The male contingent was led by Jerry Cook of Clovis brother of the bride best man The guests were seated by Ed Stillman Ed Savage of Antioch Contra Costa County REG 400 and Michael Elliott of Berkeley Kim and Lynne McNally nieces off the bride were the flower girls Norma Wallace and Marsha Middleton lighted the candles Martha Lose of Oakland registered the guests at the reception at the church The bride daughter of Mr and Mrs Einar Cook was graduated magna cum laude from the Fresno State College this month A member of To-kalon she also was secretary of Kappa Delta Pi an honorary education fraaernity historian of the Associated Worn en Students and a member of the faculty-student health com mission class executive committees and Mu Phi Epsilon a national music sorority She was a People To People student ambassador and is a Fresno High School alumna Dahlgren son of Mrs Bert Dahlgren and the late Mr Dahlgren also was graduated from FSC this month He was winner of the National Collegiate Athletic Association district cross country meet last year and was named outstanding student by district No 7 of the California Parks and Recreation Society He was president of the student section of the society A member of the FSC track and cross country teams he was Varsity secretary and president of the college's recreation club He was graduated from Fresno High WARNER GIRDLES REG
