Lucas was a charter member of the Catholic Women's Aid Society and of the Daughters of Hawaii. She was long interested in church work in Honolulu and assisted in sponsoring many church activities. Mrs. Lucas in the latter years of her life made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Nils P.
