to 5 PM The artist said the works are the culmination of her past six years of painting after a post college interlude of raising her three children and doing community service work To prepare for the show Mrs Erbes said she has been painting about "eight hours a since her trip to Europe last summer as a member of an art tour conducted by Darwin Musselman Mrs Erbes art has garnered prizes wherever it has been shown locally including first prize in the Fresno Arts Center membership show last year She has received other awards in the Fresno District Fair art shows and the San Joaquin Valley annuals Bo Mrs Erbes studied art in the University of California at Los Angeles and in UC in Berkeley from which she was graduated She has studied with Maynard Dixon Dorothy Sklar Chuira Obata Maiy Ann Savory Brian Wilhite Thomas Gravette and Richard Nakaguchi Double Date Paintings by Mrs Gisela Aronstein and stitchery by Mrs Marian McNitt will be 1 shown in the Guarantee room through May 15th
