to Formerly Thelkcific Commercial Advertiser H7 THE HONOLULU ADVERTISER, WEDNESDAY, SEPTEMBER 6, 1922. Theater 0 1 1 4V HING OF BEAUTY Bv Lorrin A. Thurston. "A THING OF BEA UTY IS A JOY FOREVERf True words aptly spoken never more true nor more it i i I i if? .41 apt than when spoken of the new Hawaii Theater the crowning contribution to Honolulu's pleasure and welfare by the Consolidated Amusement Company. The grim, gray exterior of the building gives no intimation of what lies within.

It is no extravagance of expression to say that the new Hawaii Theater is a gem set within the rock, whose beauty is enhanced by the contrast. Bits of information have floated out from among the din and grime of construction, of what was going on within; but it has not entered into the mind of the average man of Honolulu to conceive of the convenience, the comfort and the beauty that await his inspection and use on "opening night," Wednesday evening, September sixth. The least that we, of Honolulu, can do to show our appreciation, is to go to the opening and show the promoters of this splendid contribution to Honolulu's attractions, that they have the good will and support of their fellow citizens.
