First Half; Small Crowd Sees Game By MONTE ITO Advertiser Sports Writer Loyola University rampaged to an easy 32 to 0 victory over th Olympic club of the Hawaii Senior League in an intersectional football contest before a slim crowd of Such a record for the past year, since Fernandez' return from the Mainland where he defeated the highly touted Bobby Yaeger, means one of two things: Frankie Fernandez is a helluva fighter and ready to meet the best in the welterweight division ultimately winding up with a title bout with Sugar Ray Robinson, or he is just another CaUed Off Ernie Case WiULead PCC Seniors Club 100 To Sponsor 2 Games At Stadium Dec. 21 And 28 A Pacific Coast Conference All-Star team of graduating seniors will play two games at the Hono Dons Want $35,000 To about 2,000 spectators at the Stadium last night. Francisco demanding $35,000 to play the University of Hawaii in the Pineapple Bowl Classic, negotiations with the DonS have been Loyola, paced by a ball handunj wizard at quarterback and a shifty, speedy right right halfback, John Machado and Bob Winship, dropped. Dr.

The PCC team will be assembled and coached by Ernie Case, UCLA's All-Coast quarterback last year who played here with a collegiate all-star team. The games will be sponsored by the Club 100, it was anounced announced yesterday. At the same tune, he revealed respectively, scored 14 points in the first quarter, 12 in the second that he had opened negotiations with the University of Washing and six in the third. ton.

He said that he has contacted Harvey Cassill, athletic manager jointly by James Lovell, president of the Territorial Council, and Ed-cie Yoshimasa, president of the Oahu Council, of the 100th Infantry veterans organization of the Seattle institution, and that Cassill will confer soon with the faculty committee to discuss the overtures made by the Rainbow The first game will be played battler who has built up a reputation against decidedly inferior opponents. All of his last seven opponents were highly regarded at one time or another during the past several years. But Llanes, Cisneros and Barnum proved that they had seen their better days in their performances against Fernandez and after having seen Moore against Jess Flores in Oakland recently, his remaining bouts are numbered, that's for sure. The same goes for Yaeger. So we draw the conclusion that if Frankie Fernandez is the hot stuff that we all think he is, it is about time to prove it against the real topnotchers of his weight division.

Let him avenge his defeat by Moore if necessary. It won't be much of a fight but will draw a helluva gate. After that, enough of this lovemaking; let him be tested. He could start off by settling the local question of just how good is Robert Takeshita. Al Lang and Augie Curtis are said to have Tippy Larkin lined up for him early next year.

After that, Bernard Ducusen would be a real match. It is our guess that Ducusen and Fernandez will draw $75,000 with virtually every Filipino in town fighting to get in to see it. There is no gamble involved in staging such a joust. Then, it is difficult to understand what the promoters are waiting for. One thing is certain, the fans are not going to continue to shell out five bucks per ducat to see Fernandez and several other local favorites bowl over a bunch of hasbeens.

Joey Barnum, with a reputation of having fought some of the best welterweights in the game, looked pretty terrible in falling an easy victim to Fernandez Tuesday night. Except for a commendable display of gameness, Barnum contributed nothing to the fight. Only the fact that he presented an awkward defense with his hands and arms up high to protect his jaw, and the added assistance of a bicycle, saved the Californian from an earlier knockout. And while Fernandez did a fair job of beating up on the visitor, we have seen him fight a lot better. He missed badly and permitted Barnum to crowd him unnecessarily.

He finally began pushing Barnum off and measuring him in the seventh round with the result that Joey was in no condition to continue in the eighth. Tuesday's card didn't afford the fans much of an opportunity to appraise Ike Fatton's ability as a professional fighter since his opponent, Tommy Lee, was in no mood to fight and was finally thrown out of the ring in the second round. However, Patton threw a few blows while the fight lasted to prove himself a hard hitter although he apperaed to be wide open himself. Chung Bok Soo, the Korean welterweight champion, looked pretty good in stopping Eddie Morrow in three rounds. Highlight of the touchdown parade was a sensational 97 yard run by Winship in the second period.

The 170-pound halfback scored Loyola's first three touchdowns. Machado passed to Chuck Valenti for the fourth and Frank Frisco, a slashing left half, accounted for the final tally. Robert Greenhaw converted after the first two touchdowns, but failed on his last three attempts. officials. Sunday aternoon, Dec.
