Building Construction The major topic covered in VA IV IS building construc. ton More time is devoted to this area because we feel that skills learned in construction can be put to use in many ways To some it could be a career These skills might also be put to use in a part-time job and we all know how often a knowledge in this area can be put to use around the home to save time and money. In budding construction we try to develop skills in these areas: Houston. Pallbearers were Bobby Koym. Dean Koym.

Bill Griffith. Sam Griffith. John Connally. and Marvin Anderson. Son Shine By David R.

Miller is one of Americas' most cherished words. It is a subject we take very seriously. spend billions of dollars for and seek after religiously. It's very good and most of us look forward to some kind of recreation routinely but especially during the summer months. But it seems that for many recreation has become more an end in itself, a style of life.

and has ended up being as tiring as the daily grind. Preoccupation with fun and possessions fails to satisfy. I find people want something more. There is a built-in need in all of us to know God. The only way this longipg can be met is in Jesus Christ.

When you accept Jesus alone as your Savior, you'll discover- life is not narrowed Jesus came that you might have a more abundant life. Even recreation will be more satisfying. when Re-creation has taken place in your life. 2 Corinthians John 3:3. Use of Farm Level Laying Out Building Lines Concrete Forms and Foundations Mixing and Pouring Concrete Floor Construction Ceiling Construction Window Construction and Installation Door Frame Construction Roofing and Roofing Materials Interior and Exterior finishing materials Fundamentals of Electricity and Plumbing Students also review in greater detail some of the basics of wood -working and using power tools as was covered in VA I and II.

Skills learned in building construction are- then put to use on a construction project. Buying a Home A third topic which has been added this year is Buying a Home. Should I buy a home or rent? Should I buy a permanent' home or mobile home? What are the advantages and disadvantages of each? These are some of the questions every young person will face when they are on their own. In VA IV we hope to supply some ideas which will be helpful in the future. VA IV can be a challenge to any student who is willing to learn and work.

We hope to interest more students in taking it. With a little you can get a lot out of it..
