MM lcii interiors Briefly BU faculty, guests 'go for Baroque' Members of Binghamton University's music faculty and their guests will join the string section of the University Symphony Orchestra Saturday for an evening of baroque masterpieces. Soprano Judy Berry will be a featured soloist in the 8 p.m. concei in the Anderson Center Chamber Hall on campus. Berry will be joined by trumpeter Frank Campos, cellist Sarah Choi, violisl Roberta Crawford, oboist John Lathwell, violinist Patricia Sunwoo, organist David Yearsley, harpsichordist Peter Browne and bassist Stephen Stalker.

Berry, assisted by Campos, will perform the Bach cantata Jatichzei doll in alien Lantlen. Also on the program: Concerto in Major for Viola and Strings, performed by Crawford; Bach's Sonata in E-flat Major (Lath-well, Crawford and Yearsley); Handel's Concerto in B-flat Major for Organ (Yearsley) and Bach's Concerto in Minor (Lathwell and Sunwoo). Berry, trained at Tri-Cities Opera and Binghamton University, was engaged from 1993 to 2001 in Wuppertal, Germany, and has appeared on numerous European stages as well as with opera companies in across the U.S., Canada, Puerto Rico and Australia. Campos, trumpeter at the Ithaca College School of Music and principal trumpet of the Binghamton Philharmonic, is also a member of the Ithaca Brass. Choi is on faculty at the New England Conservatory's Preparatory School, the Brookline Music School and Boston University.

Yearsley, an active recitalist throughout the United States and Europe, teaches at Cornell University. He also accompanies University Chorus and directs Harpur Chorale at the university. Stalker teaches cello and bass at both Binghamton University and in the Binghamton schools. He's had an active career as a chamber musician and soloist. Lathwell is principal oboist of the Binghamton Philharmonic, Tri-Cities Opera orchestra and Cayuga Chamber Orchestra.

Crawford appears throughout the region as a soloist and chamber musician.
