Easter morning breakfast at The Californian at which the betrothal of Mlsa Mildred Van Buren to Everett Keyee was announced The hostesses were Miss Van Buren Miss Kola Franzke and Miss Bertha Wagner who received their gueata in tha blue room Miss Van Buren is tha daughter of Mr and Mrs Van Buren Jr and the granddaughter of Van Buren of this city She has a sister and a brother Maiy Frances Van Buren and Jack Van Buren Following her graduation from the Fresno High School the bride-elect spent some time in Los Angeles and returned here to attend a business college Sines his graduation from the Fresno High School Keyes has been a student st tha Fresno State College where he is affiliated with the Sigma Alpha Chi Fraternity and is a member of The Key an honorary society He plans to enter the University of California in August where he will study dentistry He Is the son of Mr and Mrs Keyes and the nephew of Dr Edith Keyes Weston and Miss Jane Keyes all of Fresno No data has been set for the wedding The announcement of the betrothal was made during the breakfast hour by tha father of the bride-elect through the playing of a phonograph record The oval breakfast table was centered with a large candelabra which held orchid candles and was banked with orchid sweetpeas yellow roses and sprays of maiden hair fern At each end of the table was a poke bonnet which held corsage
