Many civilians and visitors, a well as prominent army people from the various posts, -were present for the dinner and the dance in the call room which followed. A single long table -was laid for dinner on the Ianai, and African daisies and gladiolus in blending shades, relieved by fern, were placed down its center. Very tall candles in pale pink stood at intervals among the flowers and completed the color scheme. The guests were and Urs. Edward M.

Mrs. George S. Hartnell was matron of honor for her sister, and she was given in marriage by Lieutenant Hartnell. Lieut. William R.

Wins-low acted as best man. The bride was gowned in georgette crepe, the bodice in delicate pink with a graceful scarf tying on the shoulder, and the wide skirt in three deeper shades of rose. Fho wore a large picture hat of tosc, simply trimmed with silver ribbon, and carried a beautiful shower bouquet of sweetheart roses, white violets, roses, sweet peas and fern. Mrs. Hartnell wore old blue georgette crepe embroidered in silver beads, with a large black picture hat, and her bouquet was an old-fashioned one of pansies, roses and forget-me-nots.

The couple were greeted at the chapel door by the Third Engiueer band, and a guard of honor was formed by Company commanded by Lieutenant Gorlinski. After the ceremony th home of Lieut, and Mrs. Hartnell ia the Artillery area was the scene of a reception in honor of Lieut, and Mrs. Gorlinski, and about 175 guests called to greet them. Potted plants and ferns were combined witi masses of pink and white flowers to, form a colorful background, and the same flowers centered the tea table, where Mrs.

Harold E. Miner and Mrs. Stacy Knopf poured tea for the earlier part of the afternoon. Mrs. William H.

Peek and Mrs. J. Burt Webster presided at a later hour. A feature of the iea table was the wedding cake, which was cut by the bride with her husband's saber, according to the service custom. Lieut, and Mrs.

Gorlinski sailed on Tuesday for Hawaii, where they will spend a short honeymoon at the Kilauea Military Camp. Upon their return they will be at home at quarters in the Engineer-Staff loop. Valentine's day furnished the scheme for the table decorations, red flowers and valentine place-cards making a bright and pretty table. Mr. and Mrs. H. V.

F. Turner were hosts at a pleasant dinner at the Moana Hotel on Wednesday even ing, with dancing and bridge as the later diversions. The dinner was a goodbye for their daughter and her husband, Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Miss.

Byron J. Con-nell will take place there on the twenty-third, the day of her arrival. It will be solemnized at Grace Cathedral with Dean Gresham reading the service. Hiss Sophie Walker accompained her sister to be there for the wedding. The three hostess wore beautiful pink carnation leis, and the hon-oreo had one of violets and lavender sweet peas.
