of Glendale Roy Welk and Mary Wells of Los Banos Fechtner was killed while attempting to give aid to two truck drivers and Mr and Mrs A Reid of Merced whose trucks and automobiles collided on a bridge over the San Luis Canal four miles west of Los Banos The trucks were driven by Herbert A Perkins of Firebaugh and A Iordlni of Lna Banoa Mr and Mrs Fechtner according to the complaint had stopped and attempted to render aid when cars driven by Jefferson and Wells parked behind the wreck Fechtner the complaint alleges was killed when a truck driven by Manuel Costa of Volta crashed Into the Jefferson car the Impact pushing the Jefferson and Wells cars forward crushing Fechtner between the Wells vehicle and the Reid truck BAKERSFIELD (Kern Co) Sept 22 Government notes and forma necessary for completing cotton loans of 12 cents a pound were received to-day So announced Selden general manager of the California Cotton Co-operative Association Thia will make tha federal cotton loans
