CULtS milltiaS om previous page) 1 tr 'You are the victim! You are the spoils! They want your home, your family, your mother, your children; they want to inject your children with a Adolf Hitler to Bill Clinton. Until recently, this movement which calls itself Patriot, or sometimes Millenarian was discarded by a self-satisfied East Coast establishment as a freak show, an assemblage of maniacs best ignored. Now, with the Oklahoma bomb of which this movement stands accused, but which it in turn blames on the US government these people move suddenly centre stage. The movement's stockade is not an armed compound like that at Waco, Texas, but a plethora of militias all over the country, its bunker is not a dugout somewhere in the Rocky Mountains like that of the old right-wing paramilitaries, but the infinite space of the computer Internet and the radio airwaves. And the think tank of this electronic miasma is Radio Free World, on air for the moment via a cassette tape entitled The Panic Project, the cover of which shows the station's host, Anthony Hilder, atop what has become known as Freedom Ridge, our perch overlooking the secret Air Force base at Area 51.

The broadcast features Hilder and his guest, Norio Hayakawa, the Japanese director of an organisation called the Citizens' Intelligence Network. They posit the notion that the UFOs flying around Area 51 are in fact man-made, from within Dreamland. They confirm sightings of remarkable 'anti-gravitational' craft zig-zagging across the sky, and speak of the US Defence Department developing 'amazing technology by which robotoid creatures can be created by genetic engineering'. There is talk not only of harnessing alien craft for observation, but of children from the surrounding area being abducted, and horrible mutilations to local cattle in pursuit of this diabolical experiment. 'This is the Panic says the tape, 'a crisis creation and the build-up.

to no less than 'a mock invasion from space to panic the population of the planet into accepting global government upon the ashes of American sovereignty' scheduled, dramatically and significandy, for die dawn of the third millennium, in the year 2000. The mock space invasion, the programme continues, will be but the climax of many such 'created crises', says our host. The Los Angeles earthquake was also the result of 'government technology in engineering geological faults' and the LA riots were preceded 'every Saturday by flights of military helicopters above the Hollywood Freeway. There is no question in my mind that they were says Hilder. The architects of die Panic Project are said to be the exponents of a New World Order, a Global Government against which the free citizens of the United States must urgently prepare, arm and organise.

But whose global government? And motivated by what? Are these fascists or communists? To find out more, you can send off to Christian Harvester Tapes, at the same PO Box as the radio station, for a video revealing a Luciferian hand behind these manoeuvres. But, better still, it is time to go to Los Angeles and ask bombing, Timothy McVeigh, is said to operate. Many are straightforwardly bellicose, like the one which airs the warnings of Chuck Baker at KVOR in Colorado Springs, that 'the federal government has started a war against our people. But we are turning our weapons against Shoot the sons of bitches'. Such notices accompany a constant electronic communication across the Internet, making this movement the planet's first activists in serious cyber-politics.

The Net is brimful with exchanges and electronic billboards such as swapping information and views on paramilitary activities and supplies. One can delve into files like Misc.Activism.Militia to find, such delicacies as: 'Are you interested in receiving information detailing the components and materials needed to construct an bomb sic identical to the one used in Oklahoma? The information specifically details the construction, deployment and detonation of high-powered explosives. It also includes complete details of the bomb used in Oklahoma City and how it was used and how it could have been But Radio Free World is less virulent in tone; there appears to be no hint of violence other than that proposed by the agents of this New World Order. Here, we are promised the big picture, the full explanation. ANTHONY hilder cuts a figure markedly at odds with the usual beefy, amply-bellied leaders of the militias who prance around for the television cameras, with their weekend fatigues and semi-automatic bravado He is dapper, debonair, handsome and courteous, and sports an expensive blazer with a silk handkerchief in the breast pocket.

He lives in Beverly Hills and his background is in the local movie business of Hollywood which he describes with hindsight as 'the cancer on the haemor-rhoid of the ass of the whore of America'. Hollywood is itself part of the global government conspiracy, he says, 'fictionalising the facts' with such subliminal propaganda as Close Encounters OfTheThird Kind, Raiders OfThe Lost Ark and Jurassic Park. And later in the conversation, please bear in mind the ancient magic wands used by the Celtic wizards were made out of Holly-wood. First there is some bad news from the front at Area 51. The authorities, says Hilder, have grabbed and fenced off a 400-square-mile area which includes Freedom Ridge, from which the base is visible to those with an enquiring spirit and a four-wheel-drive.

The base dius sealed from view, the centrality of its role in the new world government is confirmedAnd there is a clue as to the ancestry of the Panic Project: Hilder produces photographs of the Nazi Honibu prototype flying saucers, detailing a plan called Operation Paperclip, whereby Nazi scientists were slipped into the United States to work on wait for it the Global Government and the Panic Project. But whose new world government? And what is all this about flying saucers and wizards? Anthony Hilder to fulfil the promise made at the opening of his tape, accompanied by upbeat music: 'Liven up, and listen in to who is who, and what is what, and where. A chance to get an inside view into the shape of things to come; things you won't hear on the nightly news separate the fact from the Los Angeles, California 'You are the says Hilder' voice on the radio. There is nothing you have, or ever had or want to have that they will not take away from Radio Free World is but a drop in an ocean of short-wave and FM stations loosely or directly tied to this movement, against which President Clinton railed in the aftermath of the Oklahoma bombing, calling them 'purveyors of hate'.
