He posted a notice saying that dirty cups left in the sink would be thrown out at the end of the day.

Seven deputy district attorneys signed a "notice of rebuttal" which appeared on the board the next day. "Regarding the document purporting to set office policy concerning cups, it is the concerted opinion of the undersigned. that said policy constitutes a denial of substantive and procedural due process," the rebuttal said. Strictly For The Birds DENVER (AP) Hitchcock would love it, but local joggers find the situation strictly for the birds. The culprits arc grackles who make dive-bombing swoop? at every jogger who passes Park Hill Golf Course.

"If we did it five times a day, they'd attack us five times a day," said Helen Wright, who jogs daily near the course with her husband. "It's scary," said Marcus Walker, who's taken to carrying a stick to fend off his attackers. "It's really scary." No one is sure why the birds attack, but a spokesman at the Denver Zoo said they may be trying to protect nests.
