The smartest beaches are the two bordered by a closely packed row of umbrella rahanas pleasantly back from the water Here it looks just like a smart beach club in California in Midsummer same swim togs same sun worshiping and fun Swim suits look most familiar plasticized or new cotton sometimes one piece and sometimes shorts with bra and now and then short little skirts Beach coats pop up quite often sometimes terry and often splashy cotton prints A new sleeveless and tailored sort with patch pockets looks well over tailored shorts and bra swim suit All kinds of brightly colored beach sandals come and go to the often of Mexican origin Away from the beach those hand painted circle skirts started in Mexico are worn everywhere Sometimes the white peasant blouse goes with them but still newer looking are sleeveless tops in colored cotton to echo color in the splashy hand painted cotton skirts For tropical evenings casual dining or dancing skirts are similar to day and usually short Cotton is the preferred fabric on account of the heat Newest looking are the dresses with a vest like top which fastens halter fashion and leaves the back completely hare Sometimes the painted design is splashed with sequins Slender cotton sheaths in pretty designs with trick turn hacks and cuffs around the bodice top also are worn Usually they seem to have a big pocket on the side of the slender skirt Every color imaginable and lots of it is worn but red seems to predominate and both black ana turquoise look very smart It's all very gay and out of the world!
