Bartlett opened the scoring with a long touchdown run to give the Raiders a 6-0 lead. The Falcon offensive line John McNamara, Quinn Connelly, Steven Frobel, Steve Hasselhorst, Tim Faber and Jeremy Decker dominated the line of scrimmage and opened holes for 176 rushing yards and pass blocked for 120 passing yards. Midway through the second quarter, Jack Merrithey tied die score at 6-6 on a one-yard quarterback sneak. Bartlett took a 12-6 lead on another long run. But with 29 seconds remaining before the half, Merrithey threw a 35-yard touch down pass to Michael Carev.

Christian Westerkamp caught the 2-point conversion to give the Falcons a 14-12 halftime lead. The second half was all Falcons. The defense, led by Shawn Hillyard, Josh Seaver, Johnny Freitag, Andy Lapinski and Justin Peterson, prevented Bartlett from gaining a first down in the third and fourth quarters. The offense controlled the ball on the ground with Carev (15 carries, 65 yards) and Matt Lahey (14 carries, 32 yards). Westerkamp kept scoring drives alive with several pass receptions, finishing with 7 catches for 85 yards.

Baseball, softball DuPage Training Academy Fastpitch Offensive Skills Training is offered from noon to 2 p.m., 2 to 4 p.m. and 4 to 6 p.m. Saturdays, Oct.

Basketball Best of the Best hosts a youth basketball tournament for U-9 to U-14 boys and girls teams Oct. 10 and 11 in Adrian, Mich. There will be two divisions, A and with a three-game guarantee.

Awards will be given for first and second place for both team and individual. This is a national qualifier tournament, with a registration fee of $195. Chicago Sox Training Academy is offering its Shooting Camp to all basketball players between the ages of 5 and 18. The purpose of Bulls Academy Shooting Camps is to teach players the fundamentals of shooting the basketball cor- rectly and successfully.
