The Tasmanian's public profile rose dramatically after he won the NASCAR Nationwide event last year at Watkins Glen International, beating out such established stars as Kyle Busch, Matt Kenseth and Kevin Harvick. Ambrose has not competed in any Nationwide race this season after running in 70 events over the past two years. Yet he ranks among the favorites for today's Zippo 200, which is scheduled to start at 3 p.m.
