Sweet continued his record- setting binge with three! marks Hickox 1 Pima County' Dolphins to 'the Pima County Long Course boys title last night While'Sweet was leading the boys to victory, Siefarth broke to lead the, Pima County Dolphin''girls to' victory, too. Dolphins outpointed Larry Kelsey's Central YMCA teams Hargett 1 By Fears SAN DIEGO (AP) Coach Tom Fears of the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League indicated yesterday he is getting less and less concerned about a backup man for quarterback Bill Kilmer because rookie Edd Hargett is the most intelligent signal-caller I've ever been with." Of Hargelt, a 16th round draft choice from Texas A Fears said: "He can't miss in this league. He's really looking great." Fears said Hargett after four of drills "is just a whisker away from beating out Ronnie South for the No. 2 quarterback spot and Ronnie's been with us 12 months." South, a second-year player from Arkansas, alternated between New Orleans' taxi squad and the regulars last year, seeing some action late in the season when Kilmer was hurt.

Fears had earlier expressed concern about depth'at quarterback when veteran Jim Ninow- ski failed to report and indicated he planned to retire. The trade with the Washington Redskins for Ninowski was never an official NFL transaction and appears on its way to becoming an asterisk in the record books. Fears made one cut. Running back McKinley-Reynolds, a 10th round draft choice from the University of Hawaii, got his walking papers. team standings.

The Dolphins von the boys, 327-197, and the jirls, 268-163. The Dolphins did not score any Joints in the Long Course's final event this morning. The Dpi- ihins did not have any entries in he.diving competition at Tucson Country Club. Sweet, competing in the 15-17 division, set records in the 100- meter butterfly, 200 individual medley and 100 freestyle. Miss Siefarth won the 100 Dackstroke and 100 or new 15-17 records.

All told, the Dolphins won 25 of 42 first-place medals, if'sec- o'nd-place medals, 13 third-place medals and established-' 12 Other Dolphin record breakers were Kacey Chandler (100 but- erfly) in 13-14, Ma'Lynn Newport (100 backstroke) and Mike Johnson (100 breaststroke) in 15.7.
