Hawks Tie South Page, Rick Jones MCHS Scorer Malvern, Iowa Thursday, April 29, 1971 Valley Wins 440 Relay, VanAntwerp 2nd in Shot-Jay A first place win in the 440 Relay gave Nhihna Valley impetus for a performance at the Blue Jay Relays at Villisca Monday that the Hawks to score 27 points overall to take 4th place in the meet. In field events, Steve Van Antwerp took second in the shot with a distance of 44-4. Paul Haack Valley to Host Dist. Meet May 7 Nishna Valley will 'be one of three hosts for the distinct track) meets to be held on May 7.

Blacfchawk field will be the scene for the Class District meet. All ten Corner Conference teams are Class and will compete at Valley. Track-Field Project Now Work on a project that coudd tuim into a full-fledged sports stadium for the Malvern Community School District has been started by volunteers of the Malvern Sports Booster Clufb.
