Btoghamton, Y. 5-B 24-21 Harvard, on 2d-quarter cushion 1 backfire kills Colgate lead before 12.500 in the first period on Bruce Malvertv's 5-yard touchdown run, but didn't scoreagain until fullback Angie Colosimo bolted in from the 2-yard line with 2:01 left in the game Quarterback Alex Mancini passed 14 yards to Colosimo with 4 seconds left in the game, and the fullback added a 2-point conversion with a leap over the goal line after Harvard was penalized on Colgate's unsuccessful first try. Harvard senior quarterback Larry Brown completed 11 of 17 passes for 159 yards and ran for 73 more before leaving the game after Harvard added a clinching touchdown late in the third quarter. Harvard 1 2-1) put the game out of reach on halfback Paul Connors' 2-yard run before Brown was replaced by Brian Buckley.

Two earlier drives deep in Colgate territory had been halted by Crimson fumbles. Colosimo was the game's leading rusher with 78 yards in 19 carries. Owego junior Marzo was was 9-for-18 for 100 yards. Mancini 8-for-18 for 96. Marzo also ran 11 times for 24 yards.
