Reception Set For Newlyweds Rites in the Manti temple Thursday united in marriage Beth Johanscn, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Lawrence Johansen and DeVerc Harward, son of Mr. and Mrs. James A.

Harward of Provo. President Willis R. Anderson performed the ceremony in the presence of the parents; also, Bishop and Mrs. Rodney Kimball of Grand View; Mrs. Eva Harward, grandmother of the groom; Mrs.

Theo Harward, an aunt, and Leno Martin, of Grand View. Dinner was enjoyed in Manti before the party returned to Provo. Members of the two families will enjoy a dinner Saturday eve- wing at Canyon Glen, in honor of the ncwlyweds, who will make their home in Provo. A reception is being planned for Thursday evening in the Grand View ward hall. Marriage Is Made Known PAYSON- Mr.

and Mrs. W. C. McClellan wish to announce the marriage of their daughter, Miss Dorothy Deal McClellan, to Willie L. Baker, son of Mr.

and Mrs. and Mrs. Louis W. Baker of inp, Wisconsin. The event took June 2 in Springs, Wyoming.

The bi was a graduate f'om Pnyson liiph school and at.t.-n<l Younsj university the r.as; two years. Mr. Baker a it ended Slate Teachers college in Wisconsin and is now with the U. S. marines stationed nt San Diego.

Mrs. Baker will join him there in the near future. Couple Being Entertained Here A number of social functions are honoring Grant F. petty officer third class, U. S.

Navy, and Mrs. Taylor, the former Marjoric Huish, and their little daughter, Shauna Lee. who are visiting here from Oakland, Calif. Mr. Taylor is storekeeper in the personnel department, in San Franciso.

They are visiting their parents, Mr. and Mrs. T. T. Taylor and Mrs.

Raynes, who were married July 15, in the Manti temple. Mr. Raynes is a son of Mr. and Mrs. R.

C. Raynes of Reedsport, Oregon. The reception hall was beautiful with baskets of gladioli and roses, as well as varieties of other garden flowers. A lovely gown of white satin and lace, modeled with a long train, was worn by the bride. Gardenias held in place her fingertip veil of net, which was edged with dainty lace, and she carried a bouquet of pink roses, and white gladoli and gardenias.

Attending as matron of honor her sister, Mrs. Carlos Gibbons, who wore blue jersey, and a corsage of coral, gladioli, tied with blue ribbon. Miss Mary Lynn Haws was the bridesmaid, and her frock was of white chiffon. She wore red gladiolil. tied with white satin.

CharJos Gibbons was best man. Mrs. Milner, the bride's mother, was in black jersey, and her corsage was of gardenias and roses. During dancing, a short program entertained the guests, with Ray Hanks as master of ceremonies. Deon McCurdy sang, a dance was furnished by Maxine Claudin and Afton Lichfield gave readings.

Mrs. Delma Johnson of Provo, and Mrs. Cora Arnold of Salt Lake City, were in charge of the tasty refreshments and the array of handsome wedding gifts were on charge of LaDean Milner and June McClusky.
