Ann and 1 1 Bourbon Streets. Tbey illustrate that part of Scripture, "The rooinrut they hear the voice of the Lord walking in the gar'en in the cool of the day." The attitude of Eve denotes great consternation in her countenance, fear and hope beautifully blended nnd strongly portrayed. Adam appears advancing to receivo her, iu the vain hope of fleeing from the Almighty; anxiety and flight are highly depicted in his countenance and attitude; time seems to ben great object with him in short, they are so well executed, and the ideas so forcibly expressed, that the spectator immediately understands them, and sympathises in thair distress. These figures have been exhibited in Washington City and Baltimore, and the public may judtre the estimation in which they are held from the diflereut extracts contained in the handbills.
