THE CRESCENT CITY LITE STOCK. LANDING i And SLAUGHTER HOUSE, In compliance with section's of an Act entitled "AN ACT To protect the health of the City of New Orleans, to locate the Stock Landings and Slaughter Houses, and to incorporate "The Crescent City Live Stock Landing 'and Slaughter House Hereby give notice that on the firstflay of June next tbe Company will provide, at their Live Stock Landing and Slaughter House in Algiers, below the Opelousas Railroad JJepot, ample yards, sheds, and stabling to receive, shelter, and feed all live stock intended for sale or slaughter in tbe parishes of Orleans, Jefferson and St. Bernard. The company's slaughterbonse win afford ample facilities for all butcher lo pen and to slaughter their own stock, as required by section a of the above act, to wit: Tbe company shall before the first of June, (169) eighteen "hundred and sixty-nine, build and complete a grand slaughterhouse of sufficient capacity to accomodate all butchers, and in which to slaughter five hundred animals per day also, that a sufficient number of sheds and stables shall be erected before tbe date aforementioned, to accomodate all the stock received at this port, all of which to be accomplished before the date fixed for tbe removal of the stock landing, as provided in the first section of this act, under penalty of a forfeiture of their charter. Live stock dealers, butchers and others will have superior facilities in the yards of the company to Inspect, buy, eeQ, and care lor their stock.

It is the aim of tbe company to receive and shelter all live stock destined for sale or slaughter in this market, and not to Interfere wita the business of either the stock dealer or batcher. Tbe following extract from the law incorporating tbe company, will give tbe tariff of charges Extract from Section 8.1 And said company" Or corporation shall be entitled to bsve and receive for each steamship landing at the wharves of the said company or corporation ten (10) dollars for each steamboat or other water craft five dollars and for each horse, mule, bull, ox or cow landed at their wharves, for each and every I -day kept, ten C10) cents; for each and every hog. calf, sneep or goat, lor eacn ana every aay Kept, five (8) cents: all without including the feed. Sec. 7.

Thai all persons slaughter in or causin to be slaughtered, cattle, or other animals in said slaughterhouses, shall pay to the said company or corporation the following rates or perquisites, via For all beeves, one (It) dollar each for all nogs and calves, fifty (fiOo.) cents each for all sheep, goats and lambs, thirty 30c cents each and the said company or corporation shall be to tbe bead, feet, gore and entrails of all animaki, excepting bogs, entering tbe slaughterhouses and killed therein. It being understood that the heart and liver are not considered as a part of the gore and entrails, and that the said heart and liver of all slaughtered In tbe laugnternouses oi toe saia company or corporation ahall belong, in all -cases, to the owners of the animals slaughtered. Sec A Be it further enacted, etc That whenever said slaughter-houses and accessory buildings shall be completed and thrown open for tbe use of tbe public, said company or corporation shall immediately give" public notice for thirty-days, In the official journal of tbe State, and within suid thirty days' notice, and within from and after tbe first day of Jane.
