THERE are so many persons without knowledge, name, or character, who now-a-days put advertisements in the public papers, that for some lime past I have been hesitatins whether I would do any thing more in that wav. There is, however, tliis one conside-tion by which 1 have over-persuaded myself There are many, I have reflected, who stand in need of medical advice, and who wish only to consult in a private manner, that know not where to apply except the public pres direct them so that unless some physician of real merit is at the pains to publish some notice or card for their information, they can not fail to fall into the hands ol some unsKiitui wretcn wno manes a unneoi me ami death, provided only he makes profit of a few dollars. It is this motive alone that induces me once more to make known to the public, that I still continue, as 1 have done for so manv years, to treat exclusively the venereal diseases, for which I have already obtained so extensive a reputation. There is no form of the com plaints that bave not become acquainted wim, trom toe vast nuniDers 1 nave nat unner my ji ra at very great mistake to imagine that these complaints are uniform in their nature that it requires but a narrow experience to understand, and but one single nostrum to cure them. I never yet knew a family or general physician, that had any tolerable knowledge of the venereal complaints, or any man that did not give himself to them exclusively.

As for those ignorant fellows that know nothing of disease of any des ription, I say nothing of them. In fact, I am every day consulted by other physicians, who are always ready to confess candidly, the advantage ray ex penence has given me. But, in truth, this is a point so evlenf that I need not further insist upon it W. WATSON, M. D.

110 UVIIAL aiinr.i. Doctor Watson isnotone of those who pretend to treat thoe complaintt they are without the knowledge of. He obtained his diploma for surgery London, in which citv be studied in all the large hospitals, and he took the medical degree in New York, where he practised for many years, before the state of his health obliged him to reuiove to the Sowth. Doctor Watson performs a cure in recent cases in a few day. His medicines are not nauseous, nor hard to take.

"They never keep any one from his business, or oblige hint to alter his diet The Doctor never makes nse of mercury unlike those who advertise that they do not prescribe it, although they give it in every ease. But what the Doctor may, without vanity, make a boast of, is bis success in th treatment of those old, obstinate, cases, in which the poison of the disease has lain in the hodv for vears. Patients themselves know very well bow it attacks them in these cases, whether by ulcers in the throat or on the skin, with blotches, patns in tlie bnes. nodes, trleets. strictures, seminal weakness.
