Every gesture Patsy Kelly makes tears the house down as it should for she is and always was a very funny lady. But the wows of the show are a pair who do not depend on past performance to enhance their effect. They are Bobby Van, absolutely superb as a Lee, Tracy type who hoofs, and Helen Gallagher, who sings "Too Many Rings Around Rosie," and in yards of chiffon complete with han-k "Where-Has-My-Hubby-, Gone Blues" and is turning in the year's best musical performance. So don't say no, no to "Nanette." ..9 to 1 All UacGraw ADMISSION: CUTS GALS FREE RyanO'Keal I MU1 I 7 43l NTERTAIKmENT 6NDICOTT PLAZA KIGHTLY Me MtVih NEW YORK You don't have to have been around in 1925, when "No, No, Nanette" was first produced to enjoy the smash revival of the musical at the 46th Street Theater. But it helps if you can recall the period ten years later 1 when the Depression was in full swing and Busby Berkeley was doing his best to make you forget it in a series of mu-' sicals starring Ruby After a long absence, Ber-.

keley is back and Keeler has got him and so has another absentee, Patsy Kelly, who you may recall used to shake out the gowns of such as Constance Bennett and Virginia Bruce during the same period. Berkeley has overseen the entire production which is handsome, lively and clean. Burt Shevelove has directed and overhauled the original Otto Harbach-Frank Mandel book but the music by Vincent Youmans is still the same as are the lyrics by Irving Caesar and Harbach. Ruby Keeler need only plant one slim leg on the ground, preparatory to a tap, for the audience to go out of its collective mind and when she picks up her skirts and taps her way through "I Want to Be Happy" and "Take a Little One-Step," she manages to erase 35 years -from everybody's life, which is a service not many shows offer. 'Jack Gilford is fine as her errant husband, Susan Watson and Roger Rathburn are very pleasant as the ingenue and BREWSTER'S BOOSTER Rene Auberjonois as the lecturer in the title scene of MGM's ter McCloud" which opens at the Strand Theatre, Binghamton Wednesday.

The film is a com-: ic story about a young man with an aviation fixation, a fairy godmother and a series of mysterious murders. uni 3:30,5:30, I 7 309-30 3- YOUR CHOICE Jimcum, 4 ROBINSON STREET, ON BINGHAMTON'S EAST SIDE Continuous Showings Today Starting At 2 At Our Regular Low Admission Price 4.50 NATALIE WOOD ROBERT CULP I Film Given etc Title i iiieureavii 'Patton' Named Best of 1970, Scolt Lauded "Patton," 20th Century-Fox's acclaimed drama has been named Best Picture of 1970 by the National Board of Review of Motion Pictres in its1 50th annual poll.
