Abby Frederickson of 407 Spencer Road, Ithaca, is one of the technicians who will work at televising the Syracuse University commencement exercises at 10 a.m. Saturday. The program is being produced by students in the S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications. Three locals who will be playinq in the commencement eve concert of the Ithaca College Concert Band Friday are Jeffrey J.

The fourth annual National Handicapped Awareness Week will be observed all over the country May 14 through May 20. It will focus attention on the abilities of handicapped persons, as well as their problems in coping with architectural and attitudinal barriers. They are going to develop 4-H Acres further. In the fall, Board of Cooperative Educational Services students will construct a 60 by 160 open pavilion, plus bathroom and shower facilities.

Tompkins County sheriff's deputies said Elizabeth D. Shuck, 142 S.

Aurora was walking south on Route 13 about 2:30 a.m. when she was hit by a car driven by Katharine Jo Smith, 20, of 192 Smith Road, Newfield. Her body was taken to the morgue about 3 a.m., deputies said. Smith told deputies she could not avoid hitting the woman. Miss Shuck had been seen on the road by at least two other drivers that morning.

Deputies said David Stevens of Willseyville had warned her not to walk in the road only minutes before she was hit. Stevens said he saw a woman walking south in the northbound lane of Route 13 about 2:25 a.m. and said he warned he to get out of the road. He later told deputies he recognized the accident victim as the woman he had warned off the road.

Mrs. Parmley is survived by a niece, five nephews and grandnieces, Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at St. Paul's, United Methodist Church with the Rev. Robert McCune, church pastor, officiating.

Burial will be in Lakeview Cemetery at convenience of the family. There are no calling hours. Memorials may be made to St. Paul's United Methodist Church. Wagner Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Charlotte Frost Strathman, 65, of LaFayette, formerly of Montour Falls, died Thursday, May 4, 1978, in LaFayette. She was born Sept. 20, 1912, at Frost Hill, Montour Falls RD, daughter of George A. and Pearl Frost.

For several years she taught school in LaFayette. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and the Daughters of the American Colony. Mrs. Strathman is survived by two sons, John T. Strathman of LaFayette, and William Strathman of Moline, a daughter, Professor G.

T. Frost of West LaFayette, five grandchildren and several cousins. Services will be held at graveside in Highland Cemetery at Catharine at 1 p.m. Thursday, with the Rev. Ralph Stenquest officiating.

Harold D. Lee Sr. MONTOUR FALLS Harold Lee 67, of Main Street, died Sunday, May 7, 1978, at home. Mr. Lee owned and operated the Village Liquor Store in Montour Falls.

He is survived by his wife, Margaret Lee, at home; two sons, Gary Lee of Dryden and Harold D. Lee Jr. of Ithaca four daughters, Peggy Staudmyer of Rochester, Nancy Why of Wilmington, and Judy Metcalf and Roxanne Mourhess, both of Corning. Several grandchildren also survive. Friends may call from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m.

Tuesday at Carpenter Funeral Home in Corning. Raymond C. Townsend Raymond C. Townsend, 80, of 317 Richard Place, died Friday, May 5, 1978, in Tompkins County Hospital. He was a life member of Ithacan Veteran Fire Company, Cataract Hose Company 7.

Mr. Townsend is survived by a son, Peter Townsend of Ithaca; three grandchildren, Paul, Karen and Jill Townsend, all of Ithaca; a sister, Mrs. May Jayne of Ithaca a brother, Robert Townsend of Ithaca and nieces and nephews Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Wagner Funeral Home. Floyd Keim LANSING Floyd H. Keim, 74, of 1196 Ridge Road, died Friday, May 5, 1978, at Tompkins County Hospital. He is survived by his wife, Mrs. Vera Keim, at home; two daughters, Mrs. Harvey (Lois) Brandt of Geneva and Mrs.

Harold (Carol) Adams of Modesto, eight grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Torrey was an egg wholesaler at West Groton and from 1942 to I 1957 he worked in the Groton plant of Smith Corona; Marchant. He is survived by a son, Raymond G. Torrey of? Rochester; a daughter, Mrs. Esther Jensen of Cortland; four grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 2 p.m.
