REFORM REFORM FELLOW CITIZENS I cordially invite you to call when it may suit your convenience, at No. 78 Canal 8t. to examine the new plan of a Cemetery, to be denominated the "City of the Dead," with a new sy stem of interments, and thereby judge for yourselves of the necessity and great propriety of the adoption of it.

I call upon every individual, from the Executive of the Slate to the most humble citizen for this concerns every one, the poor ns well as the rich and in fact all who possess the slightest glow of humanity, every citizen who has the pride and spirit of a man, and who regards the future prosperity of our beloved and growing city, its moral and physical condition, its reputation at heme or abroad, should lend his countenance or support to the accomplish nent of an object so desirable. I therefore sincerely hope that this call will net be in vain. Since the scenes of 1832 and '33, mv attention has been unremittingly engaged in the development of a plan for an amelioration of the present system of sepulture: that object I think I may say I have accomplished. I feel not the s.ightest doubt but that it will meet the approbation of all who may take the trouble to investigate the subject, OT TT A. L.

PLOUGH. THE FLORIDA LINE. FROM MOBILE, ALA TO AUGUSTA, GEO. Improved and Expedited. "Hf EAVES Mobile every other lay, per the splendid R-A steamboat Champion, for Pensacola, steamboats thence to La Grange, thence four horse Post Coaches via Mariaana and Brownsville, F1-, Bain-bridge, Pmderton, Hawkensviile, and Louisville 'o Augusta, connecting regularly with the Rail Road Cars to Charleston, S.

C. and the Steam Packets to CvTew York, Norfolk and Philadelphia, The steamboats are the best for the service, and the navigation presents more than can be found upon any ie inboat route iti the southern region. An arrangement having been made with the steamers plying between New Orleans and Mobile, whereby the passengers from New Orleans wishing to proceed north or east, without ihe delay of stopping at Mobile, will, in Mobile BSy, be transferred from the New Orleans steamers to ihe Champion, on her way to Pensacola, (and returning from the north vice versa,) by which a passenger, from New Orleans will reach Char eston in seven and New York in ten days. The proprietors offering to the public speed and accommodation, so much beyond that of any other line or route between the south and north, hope that the same will be an inducement for liberal patronage, whereby they will be remunerated for the heavy expense which it has cost to thus build it up. Thy would take the liberty to recommend the route to all who travel in their private conveyance, as the roads are of such a nature as to enable them to travel many miles further in a day, with less fatigue, than.

over any other natural roads in our country, independent of the expedition per steamboat between Mobile and Pensacola, and the beautiful navigation to La Grange. The great impiovements in the route have been produced by the construction of forty miles of new road, viz. from La Grange to the Cows Ford, four milts above Cedar whereby the navigation of the Choctahachie river, and the consequent detention have-been avoided entirely: and of a fine road from Mari an na, Fl. direct to Rain bridge, Geo. instead of the roundabout road by Chattahoochee, rl.

lessening the distance above forty miles, and improving the facilities by more than one day. A branch line of four horse Post Coaches leaves Bainbridge, Geo. ever' other day via Quincey to Tallahassee, Fl. Also, a branch of two horse stages leaves Hawkensviile every other day via Perry to Macon, connecf'ng regularly with tlie Savannah and Darien line a trav-elier wishing to take tlie Piedmont route, can do so by this line to Macon, thence to Milledgcville, when the Piedmont or south western line emanates. The proprietors are determined that the business shall be done in the best ftyle that the southern country will admit of; they wiil therefore limit the number of passengers and will make an extra charge upon the land route, as is customary upon the southern stage routes, for ail extra baggage over a fair and liberal air JAS.

W. MAURY, For Stockum Co. MOBILE TO PENSAdOLA. ACT Fare reduced to Six Doaars The low pressure coopered and copper fastened fcamboat Chamuion, plying a a packet in regular connection with the F'orida line, will leave Moliile every other day for Pensacola. In accordance with the aforenamed arrangement of the Florida line, she will meet the s'eaniers fiom New Orleans in Mobile Bay, haul up alongside, and take from them such passengers as may be travelling north, or may wish to visit ihe salubrious city of IVusacoJa, affording thereby a very pleasant and speedy conveyance between ihe cities ol New Orleans and Pensacola.

Passengers from New Orleans should leave that city to meet thtf Champion, upon the 2d, 4'b, Gtb, 8th, 10th, even days of May, upon- the 1st, 3J, 7th, 9th, uneven days of June, upon the 1st, 3d, 5th, 7tb, ice. uneven davs of Julv, and everv alternate day thereafter. E. MURRAY, Master. Schedule.
