Those who had the pleasure of hearing Prof. S. H. Clark of the University of Chicago in the course at the Temple Center last season will be glad to hear that this year, beginning on November 2Sth and ending January 22nd, Prof. Clark is to give a series of dramatic interpretations as follows: Paolo and Francesca Phillips December 2nd, 3.30 o'clock Vanity Fair M.

Thackeray January 13th, 3.30 o'clock-King Lear Wm. Shakespeare January 14th, 8.15 o'clock Major Barbara Bernard Shaw January 22nd, 8.15 o'clock The New Poetry. The price of the entire course is $2.00. The Women Temple Society is able to offer so splendid a series at so low a price beeause-of the large number of tickets sold and the fact that no profit is sought. As a cultural activity this course deserves the hearty support of every Jewish resident.

TEMPLE BETH EL. The Young's Men's Club of Temple Beth El is rehearsing a Minstrel Show to be given at the Temple on Sunday evening, November 18th. The first rehearsal was held Sunday afternoon at which the cast was selected and arrangements made. The Banquet Committee of the Women 's Temple Club of Beth El at its meeting last Monday decided to give a dinner to the members of the Temple and their families on Sunday evening, November 25th. Mrs.

N. Bernstein is chairman of the Committee in charge of the dinner. A Red Cross Circle has been organized at Beth El to sew and knit for the soldiers. It meets every Monday afternoon from 1 to (5. Over fifty women have already enrolled.

A Children's Choir was organized last Thursday evening at Beth El to sing at the Children's Services at the Tempel every Sabbath morning, and at the entertainments of the school. The Camp Fire Girls of Beth El at their last meeting on Tuesday decided to knit for the Red Cross. Miss Edith Lawrence is the Guardian. ANNOUNCEMENTS. Friday evening Services at eight o'cloek.

Subject of the lecture by Rabbi Drob, "Fire on the Altar." Services Sabbath morning at nine o'clock. Children's services at ten thirty. The Services will be read by Master Daniel Joseph. Jacob Billikoph of Kansas City, whose clear and logical discourse on a sociological subject of present-day interest, was greatly appreciated by the members. It is needless to add that the feast which preceded it and which was prepared by the ladies, was equally enjoyed. The annual election of officers followed the rendition of a number of in-interesting speeches by prominent so cial workers of Buffalo. Mr. Sig Bock was toastmaster of the evening.
