10-A PRESS, Binghamton.N. Y. May 17, 19C7 CHANNEL CHUCKLES Previews of TonigMs Television Features on Local Channels 'as the nitro-toting lady, succeeds in sustaining interest, with competent assists from detectives Percy Rodriguez, Jack Kelly and Tige Andrews. (Color.) GREEN ACRES p. Channel 12) (Repeat).

The series pokes fun at the government defense contract business with a simple, broad comedy in which Hooterville folks go to work making World War 2 planes. Most of 10 p. Channel 40) "Deadlock." A familiar plot with enough effective moments to warrant attention, thanks to one big seasonal advantage-it's not a rerun, simple a rehash. The widow of a man killed while resisting arrest comes to the Precinct, armed with a gun and a bottle she claims is nitroglycerine to avenge her husband's death. The play is set in the detectives' squad room, and actors and director struggle for one hour to keep a contrived situation suspenseful.

Lee Grant DANNY KAYE (10 11 p. a 1 12) (Repeat). Glib Tony Randall joins Kaye's roster for a college class reunion sketch with Danny's shy character Jerome. lie's also fun in a laundry shirt board routine with his host. On other segments, Danny plays a telephone answering service operator, pianist Stan Worth and singer Vikki Carr perform, and little Victoria Mey-erink talks with Danny for the finale.

(Color.) and an indignant Sergeant Carter. (Color.) I SPY (10 11 p. Channel 40) "Sparrowhawk;" (Repeat). The two boys are in the babysitting business again. They've got another junior bodyguarding assignment tonight, and the subject is a difficult teenager, a middle-eastern king named Basik (Clive Clerk).

He is pretty dumb securitywise, and when Kelly and Scotty find themselves stuck in the desert, they find him pretty hard to take. (Color.) THE VIRGINIAN p. Channel 40) "Ride to Delphi." (Repeat.) Guest stars Angie Dickinson and Harold Stone, plus a good human interest yarn will keep the family entertained. The Virginian (James Drury) is determined to discover who stole five head of cattle from the herd of 50 he just bought, and runs into an unfriendly sheriff, a resentful young man, a no-good farm hand, and a woman he once knew who's trying to cover up her past. (Color.) LOST IN SPACE 30 p.m., Channel 12) (Repeat).

Another week, another planet. Dr. Smith is getting signals from somewhere and he thinks he has the Jupiter 2 headed back to earth, but the mysterious signals are wrong. After surviving the dangerous reentry and landing safely, they find they are on an unknown planet. A voice tells the crew to get out of the spaceship, but they're too smart for that.

That's what robots are for. (Color.) BATMAN p. Channel 34) "Fine Feathered Finks." (Repeat.) Funny, silly stilted dialogue overshadows the action in this one. Batman and shrill-voiced boy wonder Robin try to out-think the Penguin, a pointed-nose little villain who produces lethal umbrellas. Gimmicks, like the Penguin's all-sized umbrellas are amusing, and Burgess Meredith is competent as guest villain, but it's the dialogue that's the key.

WEDNESDAY NIGHT MOVIE (8-H p.m., Channel 31) "From the Terrace." (I960.) (Repeat.) John O'Hara wrote a long, plush, glossy best-seller about love, business and infidelity in the upper strata of the social set, and the film adheres closely to the novel. It may be long but interest seldom lags, the costumes and sets are plush, and the performances of the cast (Paul Newman, Joanne Woodward, Myrna Loy) are certainly glossy. BOB HOPE THEATER (9- the regulars including the Ziffels and the all-round carpenters, the Monroes, turn up with cheery, aimless chatter, so the show is a success. (Color.) GOMER PYLE p. Channel 12) (Repeat).

Trouble, trouble, trouble follows good-turn Gomer Pyle as he borrows Sergeant Carter's car and cracks it up. Star Jin Nabors wears a worried, hang-dog look throughout the show, snaring the sympathy of fans during his dealings with a mechanic, the police 10 to 9 OTHER 'War in Skies' Repeat "War -in the Skies," ABC.
