"I don't think we ought to give the enemy a chance to pile up supplies and push them through," Percy said. "But 1 think occasional periodic pauses could test whether or not they can be brought to the confer ence table--and convince them that we do desire peace." Percy commented in an inter view to be telecast in Illinois. Percy also said a Republican president could offer "some new approach" lo settling the war But he added neither a Demo cratic nor Republican adminis tralion would "precipitously pull out" of Vietnam. He was born April 20, 1898, in 'Jorlh Carolina. He was a re- ired barber, a member of Bethel Assembly of God, Chehalis, and an ordained minister of ihe Assembly of God Church. He served Iwo years in Africa on lis missionary field and was last minister at Shelton, Aberdeen, Metaline Falls, and Pomeroy. He is survived by his widow, Jenny, at home; three sisters, Miss Ina Crabb, Lalah; Mrs. Uewllyn Gersberger, Tekoa Mrs.

Russell Babcock, Spokane; two brothers, John Wayne Crabb, Spokane, and Rev. Albert Burl Crabb, Spokane. Funeral services are pending at Fissell Brown Mortuary in Chehalis.
