Lee Ann Carlson Of Winlock Gets Ready For Scouting Trip The Wallows Mountain area of the Whilman National Forest in Eastern Oregon will be the setting for an unusual two-weei encampment July 18-31. Two girls from Pacific Peaks Giri Scout Council, Lee Ann Carlson of Winlock and Cindy Messmer of Tacoma, will be among the 150 teen-age boys and girls coming from 20 states to take part in the event. Lute Jerstad, one of the five A i a who conquered Mount Everest, will head the event which is sponsored by Columbia River Girl Scout Council of Portland.

The session will be divided into three-day segments to include shooting rapids 'in rubber rafts, a three-day hike, survival training, and three days of learning climbing techniques. Family Reunion Is Held A western barbecue and rodeo will highlight July 24 at Anthony Lakes Base Camp. Sunday will be visitors day and then it wit be back to the high country for another week. Women Moose Regents Host Chapter Night The Norman family held a potluck dinner at the Chehalis Community Building July 10. It was the first time in approximately 15 years the family had gathered for such an occasion.

Eagles Auxiliary Receives New Members The Chehalis Eagles Auxiliary held its first formal meeting of the year and received new members and made plans fcr the forthcoming picnic. members include Mesdames Mary Keith. reported on the recent youth convention held in the Twin-Citits. Chehalis won the overall swimming trophy. The Chehalis Eatfes Scout Troop came in second in scout competition. Mr. and Mrs. Otto Mitchell Centralia Couple Wed In Double-Ring Service A double-ring ceremony June 26 united in marriage Miss Sosina Oster and Otto Mitchell. The Rev. Gerald Fox officiated at the 7:30 p.m.

service at the Bible Standard Church, Centralia. For the wedding the church was decorated with two standing baskets of pink gladiolus and white chrysanthemums. A pink candelabra was on the piano and pink ribbon bows marked the pews. The. bride is the daughter of Mr.

and Mrs. Ted Oster, Centralia. Her bridegroom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. fra Mitchell, Centralia.

The newlyweds are both graduates of Cenlralia High School. The bride is employed at Wayne's Photo Service. Her bridegroom is employed at Tires, Chehalis. For her wedding the bride, given in marriage by her father, chose a white street-length empire-waisted dress of nylon dotted Swiss fashioned with long sleeves. The dress was trimmed with pink lace at the neckline, wrists and around the waist.

She carried a bouquet of pink roses, white daisies, baby's breath tied with long pink streamers. Miss Debbie Kcithahn, Centralia, was maid ef honor. She wore a sleeveless purple dress with pink shoes and pink an 1 purple head band. Her bouque was similar to the bride's. Gerry Boeck, Centralia, wa best man.
