I would appreciate knowing how goej about this.

If any readers have ever given such party i would appreciate hearing about it. DORIS DEAR POLLY My Pointer is for those who wear different- colored headbands with wiglets or when the hair is fixed to look like a wiglet. I had only two scarves and could not afford more so had to find a substitute. Looking through my husband's old ties from years back I found lots and Jots of beautiful ones to wear as headbands or also as belts with pants suits. If the ties are too Jong, cut out the narrow center and sew the ends back together again.

LILY DEAR POLLY My 21 month old daughter has very long hair. It was always gelling in her food when she was feeding herself until I slarted to snap her bib OVER her hair in the back and now it stays out of the way and in place. This would also work for older little girls who still wear bibs. BARBARA Polly's Problem DEAR POLLY We own a large lot that gels full of weeds which the city requires us lo have cut. This costs a.

great deal. I would like to know if there is any way we could permanently kill the weeds -HERBERT DEAR HERBERT When my sons were youngsters a neighbor allowed them to use his vacant lot for play and having a carnival in exchange for culling the weeds. A group of them did it quickly. Perhaps you could make such an arrangement aith children in your vicinity who would be delighled to have an open p'ace to play. POLLY DEAR POLLY Hope you don't object lo a man commenting for your column.
