Craig, who was born in Muncie, graduated from Central High School. He was a World War II Army veteran serving with the 48th ordinance company. He had worked at Warner Gear (now Borg-Wamer Automotive) until retiring in 1985. He also worked for American National Bank and Ross after retirement. He was a member and past governor of Muncie Moose Lodge 33, a 48-year member of Eaton Lodge 600, and Warner Gear Sympathy Club.

Survivors include his wife of 38 years, Imogene J. Craig; two sons, John Craig (wife: Judy), Spring-port, and Jim Craig, Richmond; two daughters, Rita Grubbs (husband: Gordon Bud), Mooreland, and Rhonda Bonshire, Muncie; a sister, Mary Hays, Yorktown; a brother, Albert Craig (wife: Mabel), Cowan; five grandchildren, and a great-grandcliild. Three brothers, Glen, Ivan and Howard Craig, are deceased. Services will be at 1 p.m. Tuesday in Meeks Mortuary.

Burial will be in Tomlinson Cemetery, with military rites conducted by Veterans Organizations of Delaware County. Calling will be and 6-8 p.m. today and before services Tuesday at the mortuary. More obituaries on Page 4A James Barker, 93 MODOC, Ind. James Hildreth Barker, 93, Modoc, died Sunday in Hamilton Grove Convalescent Home, New Carlisle. Mr. Barker, who was a lifelong resident of Modoc, moved to New Carlisle several months ago. He graduated from Modoc High School in 1919, attended DePauw University and graduated from Ball State University.

He was school teacher in Losantville, Huntsville and Cambridge City schools before retiring. He was also a retired farmer. He was a member of Union Township Lions Club, a member of the Board of Trustees of Union School for 16 years, past president of Wayne County REMC and a former member of the REMC national board of directors. Survivors include a son, Lowell Barker, LaPorte; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren. His wife, Ella Barker, and his parents, Richard H.

and Lulu Burrows Barker, are deceased. Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday in Modoc United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, near Losantville. Calling will be after noon until services Wednesday at the church.

Flowers, 84 NEW CASTLE, Ind. Minnie A. Flowers, 84, 3701 Ind. 38, died Sunday at her home after a long illness. Mrs.

Flowers, who was born in Monticello, was a homemaker. She was a member of Eagles Lodge and Moose Lodge, New Caste Veterans of Foreign Wars and American Legion Auxiliary. She attended North 14th Street Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband of 55 years, Gordon Flowers; five children whom she helped raise, Deloris Jean Wade, Beverly Jo Brown, Rhonda and Tricia Linville and Richard Allen; a brother, Ted Ramsey, New Castle, and a sister, Dollie Bertram (husband: Wendell), New Castle. Veach, 86, 318 N. Hendricks died Saturday in Wells Community Hospital, Bluffton. Mr. Veach, who had lived in Grant County and graduated from Marion High School in 1928. He moved to Huntington County in 1959.

He worked for SCM Co. until retiring in 1975, and he was a local farmer. He attended Lancaster Wesleyan Church and was a member of Warren Kiwanis Club. Survivors include his wife of 17 years, Dorothy Mae Streib Veach; four sons, Eugene Veach (wife: Stacey), New Market, LaVon Ren-naker, Peru, Lowell Rennaker (wife: Janis), Marion, and Terry Rennaker (wife: Carol), Warren; five daughters, Norma Laughlin (husband: Don), Largo, Connie Cook (husband: Philip), Battle Lake, Sharon Leiding (husband: Gail) and Jill Westfall (husband: Roger), both of Warren, and Joyce Steiner (husband: Stan), Killeen, Texas; a brother, Glen Veach, Sebring, a sister, Thelma Hubert (husband: Gay-lord), Lutz, 35 grandchildren, and 34 great-grandchildren. Augustine, earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from Florida State University, where she studied with Elena Nikolaidi. She had lived in Muncie for more than 26 years. She was a perforating artist and associate professor of voice at Ball State University before retiring in 1990 after being a faculty member of the school of music for 20 years. She performed locally, nationally and internationally as a soloist orchestra and in oratorio, as well as in concert, television and radio appearances. She sang as a soloist with many European and American conductors.

She lived in Europe from 1951 to 1968 and presented concerts throughout Italy and Paris, and she performed major roles in 12 leading opera houses. She also performed in many plays and musical productions. She recorded songs for voice, clarinet, piano and viola. She was listed in International Who's Who in Music and Musicians Directory, Wlio's Who in American Women, Who's Wlw in the Midwest, Who's Who in American Music, Classical and Personalities in America. She was an active adjudicator and presented master classes.

She was active in the National Association of Teachers of Singing, was host chair for the National Association of Teachers of Singing artist awards for the Great Lakes Region, Ball State and was first chair for the NATS Great Lakes regional auditions at Ball State. Survivors include a sister, Virginia Kapphan, St. Augustine, Fla. Her parents, William and Margaret Kemper Manford, and two sisters, Edith Smok and Margaret Manford, are deceased. There will be no services or calling.

He had worked for International Harvester, Richmond, before moving to Florida and retired from Lake Region Packing Association, Tavar-es, in 1974. Survivors include a son, John A. Lawson, Wildwood, a daughter, Betty Jo Lawson, Eustis, two sisters, Mary Lawson, Richmond, and Ruth Oberholtzer, Huntington; five grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren. His wife, Martha Esther Piatt Lawson, died in 1954. Services will be at 1 p.m.

Former resident Suzanne Black Caylor, 74, Indianapolis, died Friday in Marquette Manor Health Care Center, Indianapolis. Mrs. Caylor had lived in Bluffton before moving to Warren. She graduated from Warren High School in 1940. She moved to Indianapolis 8 years ago.

She was a retired school teacher. She was a member of First United Methodist Church. Her husband, Truman E. Caylor, died in 1988. Services will be at 11 a.m.

Mon 8-7 I 8-5 I Fri.8-4 I Sat-Sun. I Raymond R. Gant, 72 YORKTOWN Raymond R. (Sonny) Gant, 72, Yorktown, died suddenly Saturday in Ball Memorial Hospital, Muncie. Mr.

Gant, who was born in York-town, graduated from Yorktown High School in 1942. He was a Navy veteran and attended Miami University, Oxford, Ohio. He became justice of the peace for Mount Pleasant Township in 1955, and he was township assessor from 1967 to 1968. He helped establish a town court for the city and was elected judge in 1975. He was appointed Veterans Affairs Officer of Delaware County in 1984 until retiring in 1987.

He started the Yorktown High School Alumni Association and was the first president. He was a volunteer fireman for the Yorktown Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years. Mr. Gant was a past board member of the Yorktown Zoning Board of Appeals and charter member and current director of the York-town Lions Club. He also was a member of Moose Lodge 33, York-town American Legion Post 321 and Eagles Lodge FOE 231.

He was a member of Yorktown United Methodist Church. He received the Sagamore of the Wabash Award in 1995 and was a Boy Scout leader! Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Shirley Howard Gant; three sons, Stephen J. Gant, Jeffrey R. Gant (wife: Kathy) and Timothy H. Gant (wife: Lisa), all of Yorktown, and six grandchildren.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Yorktown United Methodist Church. Burial will be in Yorktown Cemetery. Calling will be 3-8 p.m. Tuesday in Gant-Richman Funeral Home.

She had lived in Hammond before moving to Muncie in 1947. Survivors include two sons, Rex Clark (wife: Linda), Albany, and Roy Clark (wife: Betty), Muncie; a sister, Mary Harrison, Rockville; three grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Her husband, Robert P. Clark, died in 1989. Services will be at 2:30 p.m.
