He was a member of the Sons of American Legion Post 315. Survivors Include one daughter, Andrea Swallow of New Paris, Ohio; two sisters, Mrs. Privett of Centerville and Ernestine Nicholson of Richmond; three brothers, George Swallow of Centerville, James Moore of Richmond and Larry Moore of New Paris, Ohio; and aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews. Funeral service for Daniel Daniel "Boone" Swallow, a heart patient who was to benefit from a fund-raising drive in Richmond conducted earlier this month, died Sunday morning at Reid Memorial Hospital. He was 34.

Swallow, of 2109 S. 11th needed about $50,000 for a heart transplant. Family members and friends raised about 7,000 this month through a concert at Spring-wood Park and door-to-door collections, but Swallow's health remained too unstable for the operation, his sister, Imogene Pri- "Boone" Swallow will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Klute-Beach-Henry Funeral Home, with the Rev. Charles Brown officiating.

She had been in failing health for a year. She was a Montgomery County native. She was owner and operator of the Children's Corner Day Care Center. She was a member of the Eaton Church of the Brethren, where she served as primary Sunday school teacher, director of the children's choir, member of the music committee, member of the choir and board member of the Christian education committee. She also was a member of the Eaton Lyric Club.

Survivors include her husband, Donald; her mother, Gertrude Riley of East Flat Rock, N.C.; one son, Stephen of Eaton; three daughters, Linda Hapner of Long Pine, Donna Elliott of Eaton and Sarah Deaton, at home; two sisters, Betty Schooley of Santa Anna, and Catherine Rath-burn of Melborne, three brothers, Ted Riley of Melborne, Robert Riley of Eaton and William Riley of East Flat Rock, N.C.; four grandchildren. Schell, 89, formerly of West Alexandria, died Saturday at Bethany Lutheran Village in Dayton. She was a Preble County native and resident until she moved to the Dayton complex a few years ago. He was on that company's board of directors from 1958 until his retirement in 1981. He was a member and elder at First United Presbyterian Church of Union City and a member of the Union City Elks Lodge. He also served a term as a school board member in West Side School Corp. Survivors include his wife, Elizabeth; three daughters, Janet Rash of Hampton, Kathryn Tsai of Norfolk, and Babara Huffman of Centerville, Ohio; one son, James of Hanover, Pa. one sister, Dorothy Munger of Indianapolis; one brother, William of Greenville, Ohio; five grandchildren; nieces and nephews.

Bailey NEW LEBANON, Ohio Martha Caroline Bailey, 79, formerly of New Lebanon, died Sunday at Governor Harris Nursing Home in Eaton. She was a Preble County native and lifelong resident of the Preble County-New Lebanon area. She was a member of the St. An-drew's Lutheran Church of' Farmersville. Her husband, Russell, died in 1976.

Survivors include one daughter, Betty Pickett of New Paris; one son, Myron of Fountain City, one sister, Ruth Ehler of Cincinnati; one brother, Paul Ehler of Greenwich; 14 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren. Farquhar CONNERSVILLE Ralph Farquhar, 85, 2252 Virginia Connersville, died early today at Fayette Memorial Hospital, where he was taken by the First Aid Unit late Sunday evening. He was born in Randolph County and was a member of Central Christian Church. He had worked for International Harvester in Richmond, Aurora, 111., and Chicago before moving to Connersville in 1949. He was employed at National Metal Products until his retirement.
